4 month league cycle is way too long
I think a longer cycle is better for PoE 2 assuming they are still able to fund development. I want it to be a slower more tactical gameplay which means having more time will be very nice. Also if they make PoE 1 3 months and PoE 2 4 months they the leagues will stagger for those that enjoy both games.

" Not an entitlement, just an advice, a mere feedback. They just said that before poe1 league 80% of devs work on poe1, that is slowing down poe2, that is a fact. Numbers tell nobody play poe2 anymore, two months into the league, it is #71 on steamcharts. How many players will play it after 2 more months without new content? I’m a casual player, I have a job and a kid, and I stopped playing weeks ago, there is nothing else to do. I do not see into their financials and how difficult it is to hire and separate the teams and the games, but to me, it seems that now they optimized the development for people who play both games, and that might hurt both games tremendously in my opinion. Hence the feedback. |

" Thats the thing, they are not, the devs are busy working on poe1, I remember Jonathan telling Talkative Tri in the recent interview that they are not making skill balance changes because they have like two guys in the team focusing on that and they both work on poe 1 now :-D I see a huge difference between 3 month and 4 month league, especially in early access, where you do not have content and need to do balance changes fast. Just my opinion. |

IF you add multiple interesting builds you can play with, uniques you want to chase and build around, mechanics you enjoy and maps you want to run 4 months is just right.
We still need uniques, builds and option to run maps you want but may we will get there. "We've just spent six years making expansions for path of exile, so imagine if we released path of exile 2 and it was just a bare campaign with none of that extra content. This would be a sad shell of an action RPG compared to the current state of path of exile."

" Not true, sweatlords are lvl 100 in two weeks. Poe 1 used to have 13 week league cycles and nobody complained and it worked, although they had many delays, which I expect here as well, so when you aim at 4 months, might as well become 5 months. Just look at the player count, the number is now below the player count right before 0.2 launch, and we still have 2 months to go. Players, even casuals like me, are already done with the game, there is simply not enough content for 4 months, not even 2 months now. |

" I agree that when we get there, 4 months might be justified cycle, I’m just afraid that with the current pace, we will get there in 2 years and that this might be a dead game by then with this approach. Just consider that there are many skill bugs that were reported multiple times back in December 2024 and they are still not fixed after 6 months. It is an early access, everyone is playing one build because its unbalanced and they take 4 months to fix that. This approach just doesnt seem right to me in early access. |

I'd rather they prioritize finishing Acts 4-6, completing the remaining character classes, and designing a proper endgame. Leagues may come out more regularly eventually, but early access is not the time for that.

You have one shot to earn and keep an audience. People aren't going to show up in droves for a full release, when the soft release (early access) has dead servers for 2.5 months out of their 4 month cycle.
They should be restarting the economy with every mid season release while in early access. |
