Poe 1 3.26

"
GGG has killed any and all hype.

They've definitely killed most of it, but don't underestimate the power a new league has on loyal players. I've always said that their efforts going into 3.26 (and player numbers) is their last chance of saving PoE1 in the long run. I hope they nail it, even though I have my doubts, as we've seen very few signs lately that they even care about PoE1 - or want to keep supporting it.

And I must follow it... to find The Originator.

So we are looking for Chris?

:DDD

Had to read a few times. Good One.

Who knows, maybe. Wouldn't be worse for sure ;)
New mute system is terrible - no trade...

Hmmm... A vague teaser, and now everyone is speculating about what it could mean. Be careful what you speculate; GGG might be cherry-picking those ideas for what they will actually eventually release. ='[.]'=

I've ran the full circuit of arpg's looking for something to fill the POE void since POE2 isn't it for me AT ALL. Every other option on the market just feels so hollow and milktoast in comparison to POE.

I'll certainly play 3.26 when we get it...but if they manage to whiff that, I'm probably done with ARPG's altogether. I just don't have it in me anymore to keep starting this whole song and dance over from scratch.
General discussion gaming forums are almost always a cesspit of ignorance and trolls.

PoE's uniqueness and success comes from near-infinite combinations of skill and support gems. Throw uniques with weird mutators on top and you get funky builds that can do all sorts of funny things.

I'm really surprised nobody tried to replicate PoE's gem system. Probably, nobody gets the fact that gamers want freedom to do whatever they want, because every new release tries to gatekeep player power/freedom even tighter (even PoE2, which is sad).

Edit: Just to add to that, diablo 2 also had considerable success due to the runewords that enabled all sorts of funky builds like dream paladin.

Torchlight Infinite has pretty much same system
Rollslop is not doing well so they can't spare a guy to work on PoE1?

Every Torchlight game have had lots of quality in a lot of areas, but I just can't stand the art style.

Same for me. I played Torchlight 1 and 2 back when they released and although they were fantastic games, I couldn't get into the art style unfortunately. Never touched any Torchlight since then and I think it's for the better.
