XP loss on death is seriously demotivating

A fundamental cornerstone of this game, and what it has been for over a decade (and what they promised to make WORSE in poe 2) is that when you fuckup, you lose and get punished. Nothing is free. Levels = power. No free power. You gotta actually earn shit. Most importantly, in 2-5 years none of you tourists will be here -- we will, and were gonna be stuck with YOUR shit game. Poe players play poe. Most of my POE friends have played almost a decade. We don't feel what we invested heavily into (before we found out GGG lied about POE 2 entirely) should be made by and for people who barely even played the game, and likely won't even be here in a year or two. And we aren't gonna play any other games. Were gonna play POE nearly exclusively until the sun dies. For many of us hardcore POE (old D2) fans, there is no other game but this. I couldn't even bother playing almost anything but POE, so yeah, I definitely would like it to reflect the core gamers and those who invested into the game, not some dude who played the campaign twice and never loaded it up again. |
