0.2.0g Patch Notes (deployed)
So when is the patch going live??? IDK I will check back in a week since today is tomorrow and tomorrow is today...

Guessing they're having substantial issues, sure wouldn't want to be one of their minions right about now.

Good step forward but really no minion fixes ?
The list is pretty long atm and we are kind of fucked even with this patch... Ohh well guess have to wait till 0.3 |
" I was wondering that too. Apparently an Orb of Alchemy counts as "rare", but what else?!? |
Rare is Regal and above (Ex, Alch, etc).
Any new info on Patch time maybe? Are we still expecting it in a couple of hours? |
Rare currency means 'things that make an item rare or add modifiers to rares'.
So specifically alch, regal, and ex. Side note: I'm betting they delay this patch regardless of issues since they may need to hotfix a particular skill in the mean time. |

These are good early game changes that will likely help the new player not quit by Act 2 out of frustration but doesn't do much to cover the overall currency issue in general.
You still are heavily incentivized to not spend regal/ex on drops but rather to stockpile and simply buy from Trade (due to the extreme RNG nature of crafting and the exorbitant cost any Omen's that actually might help with crafting agency) If you are a SSF player this will help you more sure, but SSF in POE2 is just simply the worst. So the reality is all this will do is drive down the value of "rare" currency even faster. Trading via ex/chaos do not remove them from the economy but just trade hands. More garbage to loot and drag back to your storage to toss in a bag that maybe someone will buy is all well and good but that is all it is, just more garbage to stuff into your tiny inventory to portal back to a drop bag. |

Today is the DAY!
Let's fking go GGG! |
For this whole "vision" to function properly, rare crafting currency (like Exalts) should drop at nearly the same rate as magic currency. The gap between "spending an Exalt to craft one mod" and "buying a far better item for that same Exalt" should be minimal. Right now, that gap is cosmic, because there’s zero incentive to craft when you can just buy something ten times better for the same (or less!) investment. Fix that, and the market would naturally balance itself.
But hey, that’ll never happen, because this "vision" has an unspoken agenda: to artificially stretch out your gameplay (PoE 2’s meta). Jonathan couldn’t come up with a better way to keep you playing than forcing you to run 100 maps for loot that should drop in 10. The Ugly Truth Let’s be real: this "vision" is just manipulation. The "maestro" figured out how to make players waste more time while GGG invests less effort and money. Classic Ubisoft tactics. With every patch, GGG betrays its old principles for profit, sacrificing player trust and comfort. That’s why they’re pivoting to new players—they’re easier to exploit. And of course, you’ll never get a proper auction house)) Who’d want you to get what you need in 2 seconds when outdated systems can waste another 30 minutes of your life? xD |
