“I don’t think you can just nerf people in the middle of a league no matter what.”
— Jonathan Rogers, Game Director, Path of Exile 2

But this patch does exactly that.

These are nerfs:
• Trinity Support
Damage scaling reduced. Resonance drains faster.
(7–10% per 50 → 3–6% per 30. Lost 2 → now loses 3. Decay doubled.)
• Beira’s Anguish (Dousing Charm)
No longer guarantees a crit.
Crit + self-ignite builds are now unreliable.
Beira detonation and consistent ignite uptime are gone.
• Bursting Plague
Damage halved.
(200% from Poison → now 100%.)
Higher cap doesn’t make up for the loss.
• Starkonja’s Head
Damage redirection now only works with damageable companions.
Reduces the defensive value for minion builds.
• Impale (on players)
Now expires after 4 seconds.
While there’s no PvP, this still weakens interactions in group play or future content.
• Mana-less skill interactions
New hidden stat blocks scaling from things like Eldritch Empowerment.
Existing synergies are cut off without replacements.

Small buffs:
• Lightning Bolt radius increased.
• Flash Grenade no longer blinds you or allies.
• Battershout now counts as a Warcry.
• Hazards created by Rearming no longer count toward max cap.

These changes break the philosophy stated by GGG’s own director.
If players can’t trust that their builds will remain functional mid-league,
they won’t invest time — or money — into experimenting.

This isn’t balance. It’s instability.

Friends from abroad, why don't you go to Tencent to report any problems? For instance, the pet-picking function is available in the POE1 version exclusively for China. Although Tencent's reputation among Chinese players is not that good, it listens to players very much and will make you do your best to enjoy the game. For example, in the POE1 Chinese server, there are free good equipment for upgrades. Not to mention that GGG has now been acquired by Tencent. For instance, if you go to Tencent to report the problems, it won't directly make GGG bow its head and listen to the players, or even bring chris back

very true. all the 3 or 4 GGG founders all sold their shares to Tencent. so now its under tencent. even the founder are tencent salaried employees

Yes, but Tencent doesn't treat players like GGG does. In China, as long as you pay Tencent, you are Tencent's father and players are their lives. But GGG, on the contrary, goes against players. This is mainly because Tencent's overseas studios all give them autonomy and guarantee not to interfere with them, so they dare to treat you like this. I can't understand why you overseas players are so lenient towards a studio. If such a situation were to occur in China, Tencent would immediately apologize and offer compensation packages. It's still because you are too indulgent to them. Just go directly to Tencent to explain the problem. Although they said they would give overseas studios autonomy, when their own subsidiaries don't listen, Tencent has enough power to manage them. Not to mention that the Chinese server of Path of Exile 2 is about to be launched. If such problems occur in the Chinese server, Tencent is likely to fire Jonathan immediately. So, take advantage of this now and go to Tencent to retrieve your rights

"F" China and their socialistic rules....
