Dear Johnathan & Mark
(And whoever else makes decisions) This is NOT acceptable. You literally threw POE 1 fans to the wolves for 8 months. We are so disappointed and disheartened by your treatment of our loyalty to this company over the years. Chris and GGG spent years building up great social credibility with the community. Through the ups and downs we supported this company, and we always stood by to continue playing, even through the toughest times. Yet here we are going on 8 months without a league. Here's why this is unacceptable and a bad business decision.

- You trained us to prepare our wallets for each 3 month supporter pack (now lost)
- You doubled down on PoE 2 as the future (we don't like it) - You fail to realize that PoE fans and PoE 2 fans are different groups. - You double down on "Dark Souls like" mechanics, saying its a good thing. (we didn't like it in Archnem, and we don't like it in PoE 2) - You sat during the "Ziz live stream" defending your vision rather than listening to honest community feedback from a loved one. (Thanks Mark for realizing and starting to open up dialogue on what could be better) Extra Reasons PoE 1 players I know are no longer supporting GGG

- You PROMISED PoE 1 microtransactions would BE IN PoE 2. You quoted us a delay in this due to limitations and needing time, said you have a team working on this. But you launched supporter pack cosmetics DURING AN EARLY ACCESS! (Rude and Greedy in appearance, if you can work on this, why not release more PoE 1 transactions into the game instead?)
- You PROMISED you wouldn't abandon PoE. You did, and when called on it, you gave us some garbage 1 month league that didn't keep anyone happy or engaged. -Settlers was the best received league ever (your words) in terms of engagement and longevity. So you went on that and decided to abandon that game to release an unfinished buggy and overall badly received game. Why not keep player engagement with a new league? My Personal Issues with POE 2

-Ascendancy Requirements. I hated Sanctum in PoE and now I'm forced into it in PoE 2.
-Skill Lock to class- Although there is some freedom to move skills around, its fake freedom, because everything is locked to a weapon type. -Dark Souls like combat, bad dodge design, sluggish feeling. -Time needed to log in and do literally anything. (I can do 10-15 maps in PoE 1 in like 20 mins before work for some fun, but I can't even log in to PoE 2 without expecting to have an hour or two available to play) Take Away

You lost out on- 2 leagues x $$$ for supporter packs.
I don't trust that- PoE league in June will not be half assed. I am scared to spend- Due to abandonment and doubling down, I'm scared to spend money with your company that could be lost in the near future. Because of your decisions, I haven't played a GGG game in months. Other ARPGs are very engaging, and fun, they will keep me like PoE kept me, but that doesn't help GGG. (Learn from your competition, that's what they did to you) This is not meant to be a hate post, but I needed to get these feelings out, and let you know how I feel. As someone supporting since the start, I'm not super rich, I'm not famous enough for attention. I'm just a guy who loved your game since it first came out and stuck with you along the way. A guy who with the current state of GGG as a company will no longer be supporting your future with my wallet. Probably won't play the new league unless I see some seriously good reason and if I don't play, I probably won't ever play again. I'll probably forget your company and move on. " -The money they "lost" was re-couped by the 30$ EA access. -Everything is not locked to a weapon type. -POE 2 just has a significantly slower pace and this is mostly because it's EA compared to POE 1 which has been out for a decade. Once you play POE 2 enough and see it and accept it as a different game, it gets easier and actually enjoyable. I had to get out of the way and realize that POE 2 is not a "better" version of POE 1, it's a different game. I have now gotten an amazon to level 40 and it has been very easy compared to the first few weeks of EA. " No. they're being decpetive. POE 1 supporter packs came with poe 2 access and they are counting those sales towards poe 2 which should be illegal imo. the sad thing is they claimed 1 million codes activated, not sold. I'm not here to say they didn't make any money off poe 2, because i'm sure they did with all the fake hype they paid for that psyopped people into thinking it'd be good. I'm just here to correct you and point out ggg lies |

Probably going to bow out of these events til at least tomorrow. Seems like some winners are emerging in terms of # of people joining. But for the life of me can't understand why they did this as private vs. just having another Phrecia-like event that cuts down on all the management & fragmentation.
