Poe 2's Negative Reviews on Steam Are About to Exceed 30%

I think most the bad reviews, unfortunately, come from bad players with bad dps and bad mechanics and bad builds.
And since these bad players can't overcome their own failures, the next best thing is bad review.

Nothing funnier than watching streamers take an L bc their build is sorely lacking.

But I think this season fun asf

The game was never meant to be for everyone,

And guess what. Those people that game "is not meant for" leave negative review. Thats how it works. Deal with it.

POE2 has 6x more players than POE1. Cope all you want.

You mean toruists that will drop the game after playing for few days and that will never spend a single penny on it? I wonder how well PoE Two development will go w/o support of OG PoE Players that legit spent thousands of $$ each.

honestly the game is much harder compare to poe1 for campaign, dont have gear to kill campaign boss, boss have alot hp, and hit hard. still stuck at act2 boss, decide to give up. forget rush to end game for each league. i just want to play it relaxedly after full day of work, not playing a dark soul game here.

Tedious is the word you are looking for, not hard. They want you to do 10 diffrent things, even during campaign, do get any decent gear. You cant just progress campaign and get your gear upgrade from the ground.
according to 4chan leak, poe 2 EA is a cash grab. GGG recovered the money that Tencent invested, and probably no plan for the future.

They don't really care review, they just only care sell how many EA until it can't.

meanwhile China realm POE 2 has opened. Just wait and see the reputation inside the wall.

I wonder if Chinese players in the global realm will be able to transfer their accounts, as happened with Garena players? And what will that do to Deuce's global player base? =0[.]o=

Just gamers whining, as usual. They'll be back next season once GGG fixes stuff. This game's still in beta. Do you guys seriously think GGG didn't prove themselves with PoE 1 ? Come on, man.
China getting its own PoE Two server? Oh boi, steam numbers gonna drop to 50k during next "league" release.

poe1 became what it did due to said whining and ggg made poe2 to revert all of that it's never going to become as popular as poe1 if they keep up the vision that everything must be slow and full of friction on every action

also lets not forget how awful most leagues were at the start due to bad design decisions that were quickly buffed due to said "whining" if we shut up and just accepted their initial designs the game wouldn't have become as big as it did

I have really only played Poe 1, and very few other games in the last 10 years due to working 60 hours a week, family, etc. I did enjoy ruthless alternate playstyle in poe 1 for what it is, not to say its better than the other league variants. The feel of poe 1 is great, I enjoy it. Poe 2, feels soulless. I am not against less drops, or working harder but there are little things in Poe 2 that just seem cheap/hollow.

Let me say a positive thing first, A+ for boss mechanics. Good job. graphics,... GREAT job.

Concerning negatives for me:
In no particular order:
Uncut skill gems become meaningless very early, just highlighted superfluous drops. More useless than a wisdom scroll, which you no longer need because of whole inventory auto identify. The mechanic that supports can only be used once for all your gems feels limiting. That detracts from build styles. The skill tree is very more limiting and underempowering. Building creative builds that someone may not have thought of by experimenting on your own was a huge attraction for me in Poe 1. Less things to do, less things to try. The defensive layer of Life is to me, clearly a bad choice if you are playing hc or any build that you want to be tanky over damage. So many choices are just pitfalls. I get currency being rarer adds to a decrease in power creep but it detracts from crafting, but its another layer of activities to do that is removed. The trade is to create a feel of working hard for something good, at the expense of taking away another thing to play around with. Limited drops are not a deterrent by itself for me, I enjoy the feeling of spending more time to earn something good, but when so much is already taken, it just has a desolate feel left over. The shiny graphics do not compensate for the lack of progression and overall less things to spend your time on . Add in a large portion of the players you used to be able to talk to are now finding new roots in other games, the game feels as if it spiriling toward a death. All companies work to make money, I get wanting that quick profit. Money is important to keep staff and the lights on. The focus shifting on some flashy parts and undervaluing other things creates an imbalance. Most people play a game to escape real life. Who wants to struggle in a game MORE than real life for almost no reward? It would be a great idea if they just put poe 2 on the shelf, swallow some pride, and focus on what has been tried and true to rebuild before asystole. It may be time to move on and take a glance in a year to see if things have worked out instead of riding the struggle bus with the company. This makes me seriously sad, I took poe as a given, something that would always be there after a hard days work, and would for the most part always do things right. Everything dies, it was nice to have as a go to for over a decade.
