Is PoE2 Falling Apart? How Long Until We Get Real Fixes?

Dawn of the Hunt was fucking mess and the game lost a lot of it's playerbase, Idk what GGG can pull to fix this.

I disagree. I liked Dawn of the Hunt.

Thank You All for This Discussion—Now, What’s Next?
I really appreciate everyone coming together for this conversation. It's great to see how many of us genuinely want to improve the game, though it's also clear that some are just defending their stance without much logic.
When we talked about the player drop, some of us analyzed the charts correctly—considering the patch release date and comparing it to other games. Meanwhile, others dismissed it without looking at the full picture.
From this discussion, it’s clear that if GGG actually reads our comments and takes action, they could turn things around.
Some mentioned that fixing the game takes time—which I agree with. However, the biggest mistake in this patch was that they made too many drastic changes at once, creating issues they can't fix quickly. That’s why the player count dropped so sharply.
At this point, they have two options:
✅ Act fast and minimize their losses by addressing the major problems immediately.
✅ Accept the loss for now and focus on fixing things one by one instead of nerfing everything at once.
Going forward, they need to avoid this mistake—instead of making massive changes all at once, they should tweak one or two things, get feedback, fix issues properly, and then move on to the next adjustments.
💬 Despite the current frustration, I still believe in PoE2's potential. The developers have created something special, and with the right decisions, they can bring the game back to its former glory. We, as a community, are here because we care—our feedback is meant to help, not harm. If GGG listens and takes meaningful action, PoE2 can still become an incredible experience for all of us.
Let’s hope they take the steps needed to make this game what it was meant to be.

Sorry but, this just isn't the case. There is no proof the patch is responsible for the player drop.

They can begin by listening to me.

1) Abandon this foolish vision at once.
2) 60% effort to endgame, 35% effort to performance, 5% effort to campaign. Stop making changes to act1-3. Leave it alone, it gets cleared one way or another, sooner or later. Tweak it later.
3) more emphasis on economy

just hire me to lead, you can be sure things will be better. i put my life and honor on the line.
`Spent 2 mirrors on my build, but I'm only Level 98.` LOL
`From just quick sweep of your characters, toxic rain, golems .. sure, non meta... sure.` LOL
`What are divs?`

I actually support this. Hire this man immediately.

Like I said, what you do with the data and/or how the "climate" looks like, is up to you.

Yeah, but people like you claim it's because of the 0.2.0 patch. Don't you?
Could be. The available information implies heavily that the decline seen in 0.2.0 happens because ppl don't like it for whatever reason, but making a truthful argument about it, when it's falsifiable, is nothing I can provide.

If it's about my opinion, yes, I think it's highly likely that the patch itself is the cause.

Patch 0.2 is why I quit.

I got to Jamanra, and was stuck. So I spent hours over-leveling to the point that I'm now sure I could take him.

But then I thought, why should I? What do I have to look forward to? Loot has taken a serious nerf in this patch. So there's no good loot to look forward to. Chase uniques have all been nerfed into the ground in this patch, so again... what is there to look forward to? Rifts are nerfed, and I used to like them in 0.1. All the other league mechanics aren't worth doing, but that's not necessarily a patch problem, as it has been this way since day one.

I didn't pick the meta build, so I'm going to be stuck with a sub standard build that will require huge amounts of time and money in order to be able to even clear T15 content. With how bad drops are, that seems like a full time job. Again, the patch is to blame.

I'd level up an alt using the meta LS build, but the campaign is such a slog (again, blame this on the patch) that I can't be arsed to do it.

So yes, patch 0.2 is to blame for me leaving the game. I'd bet I'm not the only one that feels this way.

The time spent vs reward for the time spent ratio has gone into the toilet this patch; it's just not worth the time.

And yeah.. it's the fault of the patch.
