There's nothing even close to PoE1, the gem of all

It's great to have a game that you feel so passionate about.

I'm filled with joy for you!

Thanks man, can't wait for 3.26 :>

LastEpoch is like a chinese mobile game that throws loot at you, with you not even deserving it.

You don't even need to compare LE to a Chinese mobile game when Torchlight Infinite's right here.
Their latest league is a literal carbon copy of Settlers, with most of Kingsmarch being similar except ore coming from thin air (not from encounters) and auto-looted gold.

It's gonna be faster, give some time to it

I remember PoE1 7-10 years ago, as far as i can tell - it wasn't a zoom zoom like it's now

That's because it had technical limitations. The faster u'd go, the more desync u would experience.

The implementation of Lockstep opened the flood gates. Now its held back artificially, which feels different.

Oh, I'd forgotten the joys of rubberbanding. Worst when the lab first came in, that was so lethal.

PoE was somewhat slower, but also there were fewer pure damage suports, and the tree was somewhat simpler: plus the maority of mobs were weaker, especially before Bloodlines, so it was viable to retain a single-target skill and have a trash-clear AoE skill in a 4L.
When we started getting larger packs of blues, with more ranged attacks and powerful mods, we had to speed up too and the single-button AOE took over, and there were more damage supports by then and more ways to boost (jewels, etc).
TBH I preferred the earlier days, but PoE2 seems to have learned the wrong lessons...

I understand this is a role playing game, but I don't think the best role to play should be shopkeeper. - AlteraxPoe

Yep.
It was the best in times of 3.13 or so.
Not anymore, sadly.

Yeah that's true aswell. Unfortunately I don't remember much about what supports were available, but I can't forget the rubberbanding, especially when playing cyclone :D

No alternatives or at the very least - i can't see them

D4? lol
PoE2? not quite there yet
D2? old dead ghost of last decades
LE? not even close lol

So who's the king now if not PoE1?

I offer different picture. Whole branch of arpg now in downfall.
So its currently in anarchy mode, and there is no king in degradation state.

Tho! LE made a solid claim for now. At least many have actual fun there, me included. I lvled all 5 clases there to 100 and can say LE much better in many ways so far than poe. Much more freedom of actions. And diversity.

Edit add: also le much more stable and runs sooooo much smoother than even poe1 (not even speaking poe2), its like night and day. Way better coding and hardware compatibility. And with a month or more poe server huge problems, there is no actual choice here, currently.

I know it's all subjective and all, but im not with you on this one

1) classes locked skills. - you said that LE has MUCH more freedom and diversity - objectively false lol

2) limited skills - poe has hundreds of active skill gems?

3) "LE is much better in many ways so far than poe" - name at least 5, please

I"ve played LE and i've found the game a cakewalk
It's not hard, it's not punishing if you make mistakes, it's just taking you by hand
Teletubie vibes, sort of

When the game is easy and is throing you thousands of items at you - it's boring
When the game is not punishing you for dummy mistakes - it's not appealing. We have family-casual caterogy-type of games for that or some things

I would love to hear your thoughts about "LE is much better in many ways than PoE". Because that's false even though being subjective

If you reply, I would answer faster, to youre lucky, I checked this thread, when I'm about hit the bed after whole day havin fun in le.

Ok. Quick, le have:

1. Inbuilt bazaar (ingame trade with other players)
2. Inbuilt filter editor (very convenient, simple, and brilliantly implemented)
3. Offline mode.
4. Better crafting system, less rng, more fun.
5. Runs stable as possible (tons of hours and not a cingle crash, while poe do it regularly, even servers crashes, not only client)

There is more.
But anyway..

Ah, and, about cakewalk: story before monos is like acts in poe = tutorial mode, so no wonder. Try corruption 300+ and return to us.. if you can 😁
