What are people enjoying?
" What, you think PoE 2 was churned out in December or something? It's been under development for years to the points where the initial vision was much different compared to the crap we have now. AND on top of it all it is the only way to enjoy PoE right now because, despite promises, PoE 1 is dead |

" These, and I'd add the levelling progress which drained me of any desire to play in maps by the time I'd reached them. Lack of loot while levelling, negligible currency drops and the slog of the top-tuned bosses, i.e. tuned for the DPS (and reflex familiarity) of people who play 10 hours day rather than maybe 2, and generally overtuned mobs so every large pack has to be kited, split and overcome a few at a time, and then nothing drops. And you're doing this wading through glue. Maybe some poeple really enjoy this, but even normal-paced Ruthless palled for me and red maps were barely reachable and unsustainable, and playing through an entire game of this - still less my usual 2-3 alts to 85-90, per league - didn't appeal at all. So I stopped, and don't feel FOMO, I feel relief. Looking for a mature guild to play with?

" Because you think other EA games release without dev time before and vision changes ???? There is plenty games that got through dev hell or changes. Releasing it was the best thing to do, so they could confront it with players instead of cooking for more years in secret. You're just drama. |

" I am enjoying that the combat is much more engaging. I use 9 skills in my build (all that I could map in my mouse and keys in range of my left hand) and have to approach fights differently depending on the enemy I am facing. I am enjoying the combat is paced in a way I can even check what enemies I am facing and select targets appropriately. I am also playing at a leisure pace. I am not in a race and I play for the journey.. not to reach what for me is a meningless pinnacle boss. |

Combat is weighty and positional. Enemies have varied AI and attacks and pose threat if you're not careful. For example some enemies will chase you even if you play minions force you to learn how to deal with uncomfortable situations. Hags, witches and Vaal priests are some of the enemy designs that should be more prevalent. Mana drain affix on rares doesn't drain your mana inside the circle, things like that are interesting when dealing with unpredictable patterns.
Artstyle is on point unless you look at some of the outrageous MTX people wear in towns. Loot distribution is for the most part where it should be. Knowledge of the game systems is rewarded greatly, drops are meaningful and offer new possibilities instead of just slight numerical improvements. You are in for a long journey instead of smashing loot pinata for a few weeks and being done with it. |

I enjoy trying different skills and builds (without looking any guides, no challenge in that).
I like the slower pace of the game. For me, it's good that PoE2 is slow and PoE1 is fast. I can choose which one to play, depending of my mood. The big one is music. With any game, at some point I usually turn off the in-game music and listen to something else but that has not happened yet. Of course there are things that I don't enjoy but whatever. I don't plan to play this all day every day. So at some point I'll move to other games and come back with new patch/league. Such has been my "relationship" also with PoE1 since 2013. |

Personnaly I really like something I dislike in Poe1 : the fact that even with a bad build, you can kill bosses (specially during campaign) with a good positionning and the dodge roll. I have the feeling if Im skilled enough I can go through difficulties.
I really like the pace of PoE2 overall. Going through areas during campaign, exploring, then killing a boss and come back in the base to listen some lore. Bosses design is amazing. And I like less loot to make it more impactful. When I loot a rare after a fight, specially if its something I can use, I really feel it impactful. And I like how simple the craft is, again specially during early game. I like the changes of end game overall, with the fact you have to go through corrupted area. I just feel pacing feel off after maps T6. In general, in end game I like some mechanics like expeditions, corruption areas,... but I have a feeling that objectives and tutorials are still missing. About tutorials, I think we need to understand how some mechanics work like craft with delirium, merchants of expeditions, catalyst of breachs,... So overall, really like whats the base of PoE2 right now and Im excited to see how the game would be in the future with more loots, mechanics, 3 new acts, more crafting tools, more uniques... I'm very critical of the game in my posts but with almost 500 hours there must be something that i enjoy. I think i like the weight and gritiness of the combat and the IDEA of progressing my char via many layers of systems and loot drops (albeit the actual game falls short on that in many ways right now).
