Please stop making the game easier and change endgame
I know it's an unpopular opinion. But please stop making stuff easier. I don't want poe1 or LE or diablo4, I enjoy the difficulty and the first couple days of the season finally made me feel good. Instead of making things easier, maybe just buff the loot you get such as jewelers orbs or more worthy rare modifiers.
The endgame, though I enjoy it, should be something completely new that sets it apart of from Poe1. Maybe something new that specifically unlocks at level 95 minimum and beat a hard ass boss that's like post-campaign where you have a system of just bosses or even post-story and level 95-100 unique items only that drop? Just throwing ideas out there but something needs to set it apart. Last bumped on Apr 21, 2025, 2:18:49 PM

I agree. The game was not even hard at the start of 0.2. The outcry was from people expecting everything to die in one hit from a fresh start. But they catered to their disgusting demands and made the game a little worse. Little by little we approach a diablo 4 experience, then everyone will have left |

can you explain how the changes have made poe2 into le or d4?
because even with all the changes that have been made, and that we know are planned, the gap between poe2 and those games ARE MASSIVE. it's not even close. |

Yeah I agree. If the devs give into the people who are filtered it won't help any. Even though the devs caved and added ascendancy respec there are still posts demanding that it be free to respec. Nothing they can do will placate these people other then making the game a D4 or LE clone.
Devs hold your ground | |
" The changes made the game easier. I still love it and think of them as QOL updates. However, the vocal minority is demanding more. They want to get into maps on fresh start in 2 hours, they want loot to fall from mobs like a pinata, they want the enemies to do even less damage. If they get what they want, the game is ruined. |

Thanks ChatGPT for the translation.
I fully agree with the original poster. This game needs to keep its identity. Yes, white mobs hit like trucks — but that’s what makes them memorable. They have patterns — finally, real enemies in an ARPG. What people don’t get is that it’s still early access... And yeah, the devs' vision is a bit extreme in some areas, but damn, when was the last time we had a game with this much personality? Like you said, all that’s missing is content — but before that, we need proper balancing. Real balancing, not random global nerfs like they did. Why gut Spark builds just to massively buff Javazon because some people complained? (Yes, the strongest build in the game right now got buffed.) They need to listen to us, but also stay true to their own direction. One thing that really bothers me, though, is the lazy patches. That little fairy-following system? I’ve never seen anything that bad in an ARPG. Who at the office thought that was fun?!! And the rarity boost it’s supposed to give is bugged anyway (Jonathan confirmed). Strongboxes are still a bit too annoying. The rest, I actually like. Another lazy move: the new stash affinities. Who thought it was a good idea to use the same affinity for both breach/delirium fragments and tablets? And on top of that, just because the player owns a delirium stash tab doesn’t mean the fragments go there — no, they go to the affinity tab fragment. They should really take more time with this stuff — things like that hurt their credibility. |

I agree with the sentiments in this thread. |

+1 I agree. I was attracted to the difficulty curve. If they make it easier for.the 1 and 2 button pressers ill cringe. I may give up as i feel theyre cavingbto tye really bad at the game streamer crowd which can't dodgeroll and want this to a economy trading sim.
I hate watching the lightshow that is poe1. The game still have fullscreen clears now though. Its thorns, monk is still mindless, and electrified levels of both huntress and casters. It feels like aoefest 2000. I personally want Herald skills gone. |

After reading all the all-caps threads on this forum, it’s refreshing to see post like this one.
Of course there are plenty of things that need to be fixed, patch by patch. Ideally, it should be a clear roadmap focused on improving this season, gameplay, or things like QoL updates and bugfixes. Rather than reactive changes just because someone is shouting loudly on the forums. But recent patches just make me feel... I don't know, like just GGG is trying to show that they’re listening to the community I often browse some Chinese forums and streaming platforms, where people are constantly experimenting with new builds and discussing various aspects of the game. It’s always interesting to see that contrast, meanwhile, on Reddit and even here, it sometimes feels like all I see are posts yelling “GIVE ME CRAFTS” or “WHY AM I DEAD?” |

" do you think that GGG is just caving in simply making the game easier for easiers sake? or has the outrage from players brought issues to their attention, and after looking, they agreed and identified a problem that they felt they needed to fix? i see a lot of posts where people say the sky is falling, game to easy, but have you actually stopped and really looked at what's going on? does it make sense that white minion mobs had 400% more health than was intended? did it make sense to have mobs moving at warp speed, outpacing the players to such an extent that it was impossible to get a combo off? plenty of other examples out there. stop and think.
