Build restrictiveness is TOO DAMN HIGH. Devs, PLEASE watch this video.

Is it possible to build a Warrior like a battlemage without it being extremely weak?
I guess build diversity will be at a very good spot when a build like this would not only be possible, but decently optimized if you manage to get very good gear. |

but here's the sad part. the vast majority of players aren't creative, wont do research, need to be told what to build, need to be shown how to build it, wont even realize there is a build diversity problem to begin with. so your going to get counter arguments and push back saying everything is fine. ignorance is bliss after all. |

so it's more like they told you the hobbit trilogy was playing in 5 years, you got excited, then 5 months before the event, before tickets were on sale, they said 'actually it's the lord of the rings trilogy' and then tickets went on sale a little while later. this is all moot though, because there is build diversity and while it may feel restrictive gosh did the 100 new supports alter that. I wonder if all the skills and supports still to come before launch, let alone whatever is developed after, will expand it further? any guesses? as to earlier question about a battlemage warrior, idk why any type of thing wouldn't work considering how attributes function on the passive tree. But that's not all that restrictiveness relates to... if you're a battlemage do you NEED to use 1 particular skill that NEEDS to be built a certain way? that'd be bad. however... it's not THAT bad (if it's true, and idk that it is) considering it's 0.2 not even 1.0 let alone where poe1 is which is like .... gosh I can't even count the expansions and updates it's had. I definitely see variety on youtube, not from big names but that's no shock to me. it's from poe focused players not arpg content creators who need to rip thru content so they can play some other game when some other patch drops. so if it's restrictive this will obviously change with time as it already has, but idk if that's been 'proven' and it's kind of ironic to ask me to go watch some youtuber to "prove" it after what you just said insulting most players ability to think for themselves. I mean, if you can simply declare yourself smart enough to be able to tell if a game has build diversity, then so can I. and I say it does. oh no, we're at an impasse. "many many many people play old games. this is probably the saddest thing I've read on these boards or reddit since poe2 came out and I've seen lots if sad opinions. brood war is outliving starcraft 2. street fighter 3 was as exciting as anything at evo last year. diablo 2 is more respected than diablo 4 and many people stream and play it daily. what world are you in?
