Reduce the xp loss on death penalty

I am at the point where it takes me quite literally all day to gain maybe 4 "bubbles" of experience, and only 1 death to remove half of it. I am getting to the point where no matter how much I enjoy playing the game, its not worth my time.

I think it should be 10% of the existing xp, not 10% of the entire bar. (if that is how it's measured)

I agree with the Devs that there needs to be stakes but it's way too punishing in it's current state in my opinion.

I feel more demoralized on death than anything else. Especially with one shot deaths being a thing.
I kind of agree that something should be done about the XP loss.

The issue as I see it is more than ever before dying in POE2, more than POE1, is just accepted and expected now. They just seem to expect you to die, so punishing you for it so drastically doesn't seem very fair.

It was already hard in POE1 to reach level 100, to the point where it was an unrealistic goal for many many builds, so what, now it's going to be even harder? Like, why?
I think it's fine how it is now. I don't like the idea of getting to 100 being trivialized
It already was in POE1 with 5ways. Getting level 100 meant nothing because you could trade for XP.

Level 100 already doesn't mean anything because you can just pay a few div to some guy and be level 100 after some farming of timeless domain.

In POE2, even if they don't add a timeless domain where we can farm XP super easily, then inevitably a calcified meta will form where people at level 100 all play the same build to get there most efficiently anyway.

Level 100 doesn't mean anything and will never mean anything.

XP loss should either be removed or lowered because at this point the devs may as well stop pretending that there's any kind of penalty for death beyond wasting your time.

Meta will always exist, it exists in any online game of any shape or form. What you should be questioning based on your comment is either if you want every class to get to 100 easily or none, simply because you don't want to play the meta (that supposedly, according to you, will inevitably get to 100 too easily)
