GGG I beg you, please do not make the game easier.
There is a unvocal majority loving the current pacing speed and difficulty of the game. This includes the level of loot we are getting and the TTK of monsters etc. Please do not turn this into another brainless cookie clicker loot simulator like PoE1. We literally still have PoE1 when we want that gameplay we can log into it right now. This is your opportunity do something revolutionary and different from the norm.
EDIT - answering replies in this thread: You think you want that brainless gameplay but you don't, it gets boring fast. Just because people enjoy a challenge doesn't mean they are trolling. Just because you are bad at the game and refuse to learn or adapt to change doesn't mean they should nerf everything. People don't seem to understand stuff like more loot means more power = a slippery slope which ends in cookie clicker gameplay. It's a very simple concept. and also for the people accusing me of being stuck in act 1 - I am an only SSF HC player, I've raced in many gauntlets in PoE1 and am currently in deep maps on PoE2 (rank 23 Lich on the SSF HC leaderboard). I've been enjoying the hardcore general chat in game constantly mocking the crybabies in here and on the reddit. Some of you guys are truly embarrassing. " Debatable... Anyhow, people have a tendency to look at "difficulty" as one thing. Slower gameplay isn't more difficult. A mob taking 40 hits instead of 4 isn't difficult. Unresponsive combat isn't difficult. In my eyes, what makes PoE2 "difficult" in 'most' people's eyes, is tediousness. But hey, it makes it more 'difficult' to stay awake, I'll grant you that. But hey, as long as they update and maintain PoE1, PoE2 can be as tedious as people want it to be. But as long as PoE1 is being neglected, I will be here trying to understand what makes PoE2 good and/or difficult. |

Games tend to get easier over time, not because they’re deliberately made easier, but because of the inevitable layering of player power. Every new system, be it gear, passives, skills, or mechanics, adds more ways to optimize, and unless the base difficulty is adjusted accordingly, the original challenge gets diluted.
PoE1 is a textbook case of this. Over the years, GGG kept stacking more and more power onto the player side without meaningfully updating baseline difficulty. Eventually, older content became trivial, and new content had to rely on sudden difficulty spikes just to pose a threat, often feeling out of place or poorly tuned as a result. Take T17 maps, for example. They were hyped as the new aspirational endgame, meant to push even the strongest builds. But within days of release, they were being cleared with ease, even by unoptimized characters in a SSF scene, simply because years of cumulative power creep made high performance accessible by default. The content wasn’t bad, it was just instantly undermined by the scale of power that had built up over time. Hopefully with PoE2, GGG has learned from that mistake. If they want to maintain a meaningful sense of challenge, they’ll need to be more proactive in rebalancing the core game alongside any new power systems. Just stacking more power on top of an already bloated system isn’t a sustainable way to keep the game engaging, or challenging. And sure, it’s still amusing to see some individuals throwing hate at PoE2 just for the sake of hating it, simply because it’s not a carbon copy of Path of Power Creep 1, just with more bling-bling and glitter. Not every change is bad just because it's different. |

Why do people say "literally" to back up the fact that a fact is a fact?
I poop, therefore I am.

Humanity has invented concepts like "drop-down lists" and "radio buttons". You can put all sorts of parameters in there that affect game mechanics. Even an option like "I DON’T WANT TO SEE LOOT AT ALL AND WILL PLAY IN MY BIRTHDAY SUIT" can be added to that list — much to the delight of BDSM enthusiasts.
BTW also "check button" exists. For "SSF without ability to transfer to standard". This will allow us to keep the whiny RMT-goblins out of sight. Let them rage somewhere far, far away. |

" I highly doubt this. The game in it's current state is not fun. It's frustrating and a huge waste of time. You can look on X, Reddit, YouTube, Twitch, The forum, and random homeless people will tell you the game is not in a good spot. I wont claim to know how many people love it or hate it, but Steam player counts is a good measure. It aint pretty. |

Too late. They have already signalled to you they are going to listen to whining and primadonna streamers/zoomers. This will be as easy as D4 by 1.0.

+1
The people complaining will leave for the next fad, they just want a tik-tok game. We will stay, unless they ruin it catering to people with no idea in their minds. |
