Just completed Act 1. Zero deaths so far. POE2 is fine. The crybabies need to stop complaining.

The game isn't hard, it's boring.

75% of the abilities are pretty much garbage. 90% of the support gems are useless. You're punished for experimenting and punished for trying anything that's not clearly set out for you by the game.

Frost Nova Sorceress? Goodluck with that, your character is doomed from the start; Why would you think you could pick an ability you like and make a viable build from it?

The only "combos" we see are forced; mixing two or more useless abilities/mechanics to make them actually useful/playable. Meanwhile, I can't do the "combo" of making a bow-user with minions, or a "fighter-mage" archetype, unless I want my character(s) to be awful.

The attribute requirements and weapon-type restrictions on abilities make creating a unique build borderline impossible from the start.

Items are supposed to be scarce, but when you're level 85+ and you still haven't found literally anything useful it starts getting really boring when you physically can't progress your character without attempting to trade, using quite possible the worst trading systems in any ARPG currently.

Item mods are boring across all items. The unique are boring and very few of them are actually useful. Items just make number go up without changing your gameplay/enabling new playstyles in any way whatsoever.

Nothing is exciting. Why would I want to open that chest? Nothing is going to be in it. Why would I want to do that wisp event? It makes things harder for zero reward. Why would I want to setup towers for maps that don't return value to even make up for the resources I put in to juice them?

the game was indeed hard for like the first 4-5 days after 0.2 launched, everything is unplayable, the guy who created this thread certainly doesn't read any patch notes, he's in just act 3 btw while the majority of the players already killed pinnacle bosses

I'll never get over the way people sometimes just say thing that they absolutely know in their hear they have no possible way of knowing and they also know that everyone else knows they have no way of knowing it but they still just say it because they want it to be true.

Like my dude you have absolutely no idea what % of the player population have killed pinnacle bosses. You just don't. You've watched videos of people killing pinnacle bosses and maybe you and your friends have but hundreds of thousands of people play this game. You think over 50% of them are killing pinnacle bosses right now? Why? 'cause you know half a dozen people who have?

Activate wisps when the nearest rare is far away. Kill all the normal mobs they touch on the way to that rare. The bonus to item quantity and rarity is extremely obvious if you do it right. The fact that you can say there's no reward tells me you either haven't tried to optimize them or you just don't understand how the mechanic works at all.

isn't that how statistics work? I have an estimation for population parameter that is based on sample data. even with low confidence level, that doesn't mean it's wrong

I do that. Don't find shit still. Not worth the time involved setting that up.

The fact that you typed this out unironically despite the fact that there is absolutely no time whatsoever involved in "setting this up" tells me you absolutely do not do this. Literally all you need to do is avoid stepping on a wisp for a fraction of a second until you nuke any rares in the vicinity which you were going to do anyway. There's no "setup."

Just give it a shot guy. I promise you if you execute a few wisps properly you will no longer be able to deny their benefit. They very obviously confer an enormous bonus to both quantity and rarity when done properly.
