I love the trial of sekhemas and trial of chaos, they are some of my favorite things to farm, and believe in strong class identity.

Otherwise I would not have made 1 of every class last ladder. I would have stopped with 1 of each base class and respec'd around.

Yep. Sadly this is not how it will play out. Once people get used to something they wont want their toys nerfed (as seen by every update)

As the game caters to the babies and 2nd monitor players who just want an easy mode slot machine, there will be no going back to a harder version.

This is the fatal flaw of catering to these PoE1 babies. PoE2 has a chance to make a different game but it must start ignoring these suggestions and stop adding childproofing to every challenging mechanic or progression system.

Not feeling hopeful for this. The whiners are very vocal and are backed up by streamers who want to blast while reading chat and not even paying attention to the game...
