Dawn of the Hunt - What We’re Working On

your stupid game is still crashing with "timed out" error like its network part is by made by a group of students that found out that there are load balancing mechanisms.
and ofcourse its backuping me by 10 minutes. the 3rd day, network engineers still can't fix crashes.

Your recent stance is absolutely worrying.

You refuse to accept any of the community feedback and yet, after doubling-down with 0.2 you TRIPLE-down with this announcement.

No, the issue that we feel zones are way too much and it's a slog travelling through is not the monsters or the lack of content within the zone.
IT'S THE FACT THAT THE ZONE IS SIMPLY TOO BIG.

Anyway, like I said, your stance within the last year is absolutely worrying for someone who has been playing your game since the beginning. As much as it hurts me, this will be the first time I will uninstall any of your games and also vote with my wallet.

At this point with the state of PoE2 and the fact your butchered PoE1's development for it, I simply cannot justify giving you any cent.

Sad.

This, not a single cent from me since the January statement either.
I guess I am going to be trying out Last Epoch :(
I hope that GGG does not only make decisions based on people whining about the "game being too hard" -- whilst in reality, all it takes is some time to read the tooltips and figure out how to make your build work, everything becomes easy then. I'm back to 1 button 1 shot clearing and the only struggle I had was act 1 when I was testing 4 different weapons and their skills. Everything else has been an absolute breeze.

There's infinite amount of mindless idle clicker ARPGs with autoquesting and 1 button aoe explosions, please don't turn PoE2 into PoE1. People who enjoy challenge and the sense of accomplishment from character development also want a game to play.

The whiners are just entitled and don't bother to make an effort.
Sure the minions were shafted but everything else is completely fine. There is no need to adjust the power curve further.

Cheers!

The most worrying issue to me is still that ggg feels like zone size concerns are on the player side and not design side. How is it that we can look at act 3 and say that those zone layouts are OK. They're fucking massive and windy for no reason and feel like a slog. No amount of additional content is going to make that feel good. The fact that we even neeed checkpoints in zones is a clear indicator that the zone design has failed.

I completely agree, when will they understand this themselves? Good question...
You've completely missed the actual problems with the Huntress and frenzy charges. That's literally no straight forward way to generate frenzy in game, if there is I must have missed it so feel free to point it out to me.

Combat Frenzy gives one every 4.5-5 seconds that's it for more passive generation. If you use Sniper's Mark to generate them with crit but then you have to keep casting it every other ability.

Meanwhile every other ability consumes frenzy so even if you generate them through these more awkward ways the odds are that you waste the charges on an ability you didn't intend. Hell even Spear Throw consumes it.

This whole thing with starving charge generation while at the same time make every other ability a spender of said charges is ultimately just not fun. You can't even do some intricate workaround with uniques as far as I can see to ger straight up non-annoying frenzy generation.

Personally all I wanted to do after seeing Ziggy showcasing the abilities was to blast packs with Explosive Spear and amp the burning ground/ignite. In order to do so I have to use Sniper's Mark and Combat Frenzy with Storm Lance to fish for frenzy charges to then potentially be able to throw an Exploding Spear. This creates a very awkward play style.

There's not even a fire based way to generate frenzy where I could bounce ability A in to B in other to generate then finish. This in turn basically pushes me in to just giving up the entire build idea and roll Lightning Spear with Storm Lance instead and basically just play the Huntress version of Spark. This also begs the question, why is Explosive Spear even in the game when it doesn't synergize with the other abilities?

This whole thing with trying to narrowly control how we play the game isn't it, it's just not what PoE has been about in the past and it feels much closer to Blizzard's predefined cookie cutter builds in D3/D4 than to PoE.

Also, Spear of Solaris...holy mother of useless abilities. Having to heavy stun an enemy in order to even use an ability that leaps you backwards and takes time to initiate only to be stationary when every boss out there moves around like they need to take a piss really badly.

Who thought this was a good idea, like really?

Edit: About zone size...it could also be that the zones are too large. Think about it.

I'm really concern about PoE2 future. I'm concern about GGG making a game for 10% of specific players and forget about the majority. I put around 200h on 0.1.0 only in one char and I had a blast with a good, not broken build. In 0.2.0 I already have 3 and didn't even finish the first act. You added 100 gems for what? build diversity? only 10% of all the gems are good to do endgame. At the end of the day we will not have 20 different builds of the same class with different gems that work. We will have 10 at the most.
Your vision for PoE2 will not work on long term, only if you shut down PoE1 and even then, probably the competition could make something really special.
Listen to the feedback, we paid to test your game, to do your QA.
Nobody liked warrior in 0.1.0 and the only reason people are playing it, it's because all the other classes were nerfed to the ground. Even that warrior still suck specialy in early and mid game. It's not fun. I play warrior in all others arpgs and love them, not because they're easy to play but the combat feel amazing. How is possible you've missed the memo since PoE1?

No more rant, I hope you guys listen to all feedback and make the game for all players. A fun game.
Kick in the teeth...
Also, just because there's so many whiners does not mean the majority is unhappy. The whiners just spend their time on reddit, forums, discord whilst people who actually bother to make an effort are already level 90 and enjoying the game :)
I’ve been saving and saving money to wait til the right time to upgrade my cpu and gpu and I finally did , because I was so excited for the next league. I uninstalled it today, 3 days in. I’m devastated the game has turned into this and it’s clear they have no urgency in listening to the community.

I feel like an absolute fool for buying upgrades, I never expected this.

Just going to take a break from gaming for a while.. so bummed.
