Unfortunately this edit did not work for me.
I still got an infinite loading screen when switching between my personal hideout to guild hideout.

This is definitely a server side issue with instance jumping. I think GGG owe their community a response on this, preferably as soon as possible.

This is still working for me the next day. I forgot to change the file when I first turned the game on, and immediately got stuck in an infinite loop. Closed the game, modified and saved the text file, reopened the game and changed from Canada East to Washington - no more loop. The text file will edit itself back to the original state every time the game closes, so you need to do this every time. I noticed the first few times I was doing it, I was opening notepad on Windows 11, editing and then closing the file before it was actually saved. You need to close the file itself in notepad or manually save it yourself.

I think that something is going on between Canada East and Washington, maybe the game is getting confused and attempting to swap between the two servers at loading.

It has happened to me on Washington DC and Canada East servers so far. I am afraid to try anything else as I have a nice and juicy map in there and I have lost 3 portals just to the Infinite Loading screen... I managed to get into the map once, and my inventory filled up with so many items that I had to town portal. And I couldn't get back into the map...

I have lost so many maps since the latest 01.1g patch dropped.....


edit: anddddddddd I managed to get back into the game, but wouldnt you know, my last 2 remaining portals are gone and the node says "map attempted".

Same, cannot play 30Mar2025. I've tried updating settings and making new characters. Every time I load a new map it gets stuck infinitely loading. My PC does not freeze though

Toggling multithreading off before entering a load screen and on when in a map seemed to help me for a while. But I forgot to turn it off once, and I got stuck in the loading screen again..........

Same issue.. any loading takes forever..

Tried all settings.. updated all drivers.. updated windows..

Still just more of the same..

Seems like the issue occur whenever I am routed through the Canada-WEST CDN.

This IP address is especially problematic: 79.127.233.218, but also this one: 79.127.233.215

Just posting this here in case someone from GGG read this and figure out wtf is going on.

I have had this issue since the 28th its been never ending i accidently made a thread on poe1 technical support forum rather than here sadly and ive tried many suggestions with no working fix game is currently unplayable for me havent seen a word from support in regards to this either.

and ya im on canada east servers ive tried washington but same issue other servers the ping is just insane and not worth trying. it usually occurs right after the character select screen OR from my hideout if i try to open a map ive lost several high end maps and nodes due to never loading after i go through portal and lost a few breach hands as well.

Ive invested a few hundred into the game but dont think ill be investing further until things are more stable just not worth investing in a game that is not accessible for the entire east coast
