GGG failed to understand what the game needs

thank god op is not in charge of development for POE2.

everything they posted is exactly what I DONT want in the game.

also @OP calling the devs mentally unstable?

that's really not a good way to get your message across.

Never played POE1 and have zero desire to ever play it. I have really enjoyed POE2 and based on that decided to support it.

What the OP seems to think this game needs is not something I would have supported. Of course that's just me.

Hmm i think ppl look on it quite hard...
Just make it easy, if you want evolved "izometrict" ARPG's gerne from old school games, then all current "top ones" have what we need in freedom, crafting, exploring, diversity..

Just take what you need from them and make complex one game:
1) Freedom of class building from PoE
(- this is only thing i like about PoE in long run, freedom to make basically anything, no prederemited classes, fact that i can be Paladin using skills to rise skeletons)
2) Crafting of Last Epoch
3) Procedural generation of maps from dungeons of less know arpgs
4) Crafting and perking special items for skill or items from Grim Dawn
5) Factions specials items from Grim Dawn
6) Factions for enemies from Grim Dawn
7) Constelation or other perks wich futher dig deeper to class/skill customization (good exampl is again Grim Dawn i think)

x) Factions of Last epoch to having interesting endgame
(this is tweakable..)

(I didn't mention Titan Quest because Grim Dawn is basically made from TI engine and upgraded/improved some aspect of old school TI like crafting, factions, dungeons, skills combinations, skill improvemnts from equip..)

I think there could be more features, but you get "intial idea".

----------------
If i take a lot of con feedback from players in current PoE 2 which dont want shooter zoom zooom of PoE 1, it's these points:
1) Lack of proper crafting (not gamba)
2) Nonsens behind gem system (aka no leveling anymore, some lock ups)
3) Endgame death system
4) AH system

I have way to much notes on my phone of "why X is bad, bland or poorly implemented", I think all of us wanted PoE2 to be the best experience ever, and while it has it's moments is unusually stupid in things that are fundamental to the point it's not funny, they're literally (we can go to the game and bring prof of what I'm saying) doing things that goes backwards in what they preach, stuff that was solved 5-7yrs ago, I'm not saying they should say idle and let the current take them to port, but at least watch your Flagship to see what can be improved or what can be ported to your next Flagship, that's why I think this has to be something to do with corporates cuz I cannot understand that they will take in good faith poor dev choices that anyone in the industry would point out and say "yeah that's stupid"

Hi everyone once again.

I want to discuss some things regarding PoE2 overall after playing an amazing event "Phrecia" and why PoE1 will be the better game even after 10 more years and why GGG is mentally unable to understand what the game realy needs.

This is an opinion from a non Streamer one that has no money benefit from playing the game in contrast to Streamers that will defend the game no matter what and i am ok with that i understand this is how they make their money they need the game to succeed but they dont see ahead the road.

PoE2 is set to failure on a torturous for us slow decline of frustation cause the concept overall has taken a wrong turn

Regarding yesterdays presentation i was dissapointed and here is why.

1:No proper crafting . Strong Essences gated behind unique map.Recombinator is a cheap way to give crafting. All about crafting feels cheap and gamba like playing a mobile game.

PoE1 has the perfect recipe for crafting. The fact that they removed everything regarding crafting is mental.

2:Gem system. I have mentioned many times through my posts that the gem system is horrendous. Taking away the XP grind and giving us a cheap mobile version of gem system and at the same time Power Walling us on the campaign is a criminal decision.

3:Portal system. On yesterdays presentation they were changes bad ones.Just give 6 Portal.Game is punishing enough with the xp penalty.I know multiple friends droping the game for good just for this aspect of the game only.

4:Optimization.Oh boy how sad this topic is. PoE2 is an impressive game on graphics visuals animations but its runs like a potaton when reaching endgame.
Just like PoE1 PoE2 will never have good optimization it will never run in endgame properly. I will always be on a barely playable state no matter what PC you have just like PoE1.

What PoE2 failed at the very end is to keep me interested,
When PoE1 over the years had news of upcoming Leagues or w/e i was taking days off my work just to log in Day1 on League start.

I had fiber connection installed on my apartment just to get a better Experience just for PoE1 i had my PC upgraded just for PoE1 and many many sacrifices just for PoE1 things i would never do to that extend if it was not for PoE1.

PoE2 is a game i will never drop a single cent other than the initial money i gave for access. I dont care about new Leagues if i miss them.I dont want to play the campaign again its horrible i want to zoom out blast monsters just like PoE1 and move to endgame on a resonable amount of time.PoE2 is not a game that gonna respect my efforts to get better its walling me through terrible game mechanic decisions.

Anyway see ya in PoE1 new Season.I am skipping 0.2 i dont feel like playing any of the game ascendancies and going through this horrible campaign again.

Why do you care about missing a league in poe1 ? Does it drop your e-pen size or something ? I missed a lot of leagues and I am as good as I was then.
Never invite Vorana, Last To Fall at a beer party.
These PoE1 versus PoE2 discussions are becoming increasingly tedious. Having played both for a considerable amount of time, I thoroughly enjoyed POE1 and am enjoying POE2 even more, despite it still being in beta.

If I fancy playing PoE1, it’s still there – I can return to it whenever I wish.

Please stop comparing the two as if they ought to be replacements for one another. They’re just distinct experiences; whether you enjoy them is JUST a matter of personal preference.
