GGG failed to understand what the game needs

What the game needs is less cry babies
I really dislike poe1 and I think devs recognise that a lot of the things you say the game needs are what pushed players away. And if they listen to the feedback from players like yourself they will have spent all that dev time to make another very niche game, which I don't think is their goal at all.

I want dropped loot to have a chance at being amazing. And I like the crafting options available now. I don't want crafting to become like poe1 and make loot drops worthless. Not to mention it is overly complicated.

I want them to make endgame feel less like poe1 also. The campaign experience is great and I'd like to see poe2 endgame be slower like that where u want to use combos and not just spam 1 thing.
I saw a chart of their portal "solution" and was left in confusion. Who keeps pushing for 1 portal on everything? And they never thought of people leaving maps to trade until it was mentioned to them?

Every time I see someone say they love PoE 2's endgame they show HoI screen explosions in a breach like PoE 1 or killing a boss in 1 second with an overpowered build like PoE 1. I don't see anyone praising 1 portal 5 minute boss fights or 2 minutes of backtracking in a map.
My hope is that by release PoE 2 will be in a playable state, or at least adequate enough to play in between PoE 1 leagues. They keep adding PoE 1 mechanics to the game anyway so I guess that is a good sign. I'm worried that they won't be able to fix the core/fundamental problems though.
I am enjoying the game.

Kinda agree but..... things going a lil out of hill now.

ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!?
From all the discussions, dev talks, podcast, reddit, forums, friend etc I take that the game looks like its 100% not being developed by GGG but by Tencent and oriented for Chinese players, its a gatcha game, want a good item? spend 100hs dropping items or gamba currency until you got lucky... or spend 200hs to get the currency to by it from other player.
There is a reason ARPG evolved from D1-D2 (OLD mechanics) they're developing a "esthetic" or a "concept" not a game (how in his right mind would force the players to use 4 different benches and a Well on 2025?).
They lack the vision to understand that you can't have both ways, you can't have engaging fights and one-shots, you can't have one-shots and 1 portal.
You would never feel accomplish by beating the pinnacle bosses in PoE2 like you would feel it by beating a DS boss because the games and the mentalities are different, they think that DS is great cuz "it's hard", not a single player would play PoE2 to feel like playing DS because that's not the power fantasy of an Isometric ARPG, and the people that would say yes they're lying and trying to show they're "better" gamers
PoE2 is fundamentally flawed and will always be, because the "vision" of the devs is so rooted in them that they will NEVER understand what the player base needs don't mix up with what we want, remember that they really think the game should be more like PoE1 Ruthless (stated by Chris and Mark)
The GGG we knew is no more, never ever I would had thought that GGG would think that a 1.0 Release (Full game) could happen without Every character out, It's not 2010, it's not the Indie Company, it's not their first game, they need to start give us some respect.

Hmm i think ppl look on it quite hard...
Just make it easy, if you want evolved "izometrict" ARPG's gerne from old school games, then all current "top ones" have what we need in freedom, crafting, exploring, diversity..

Just take what you need from them and make complex one game:
1) Freedom of class building from PoE
(- this is only thing i like about PoE in long run, freedom to make basically anything, no prederemited classes, fact that i can be Paladin using skills to rise skeletons)
2) Crafting of Last Epoch
3) Procedural generation of maps from dungeons of less know arpgs
4) Crafting and perking special items for skill or items from Grim Dawn
5) Factions specials items from Grim Dawn
6) Factions for enemies from Grim Dawn
7) Constelation or other perks wich futher dig deeper to class/skill customization (good exampl is again Grim Dawn i think)

x) Factions of Last epoch to having interesting endgame
(this is tweakable..)

(I didn't mention Titan Quest because Grim Dawn is basically made from TI engine and upgraded/improved some aspect of old school TI like crafting, factions, dungeons, skills combinations, skill improvemnts from equip..)

I think there could be more features, but you get "intial idea".

----------------
If i take a lot of con feedback from players in current PoE 2 which dont want shooter zoom zooom of PoE 1, it's these points:
1) Lack of proper crafting (not gamba)
2) Nonsens behind gem system (aka no leveling anymore, some lock ups)
3) Endgame death system
4) AH system

Hell yea, game is a bundle of raw potential and just so much fun.
I got the sauce.

POE1 & 2 enjoyer.
A classic case of confusing your own opinion for being somehow representative of anyone who's interested in ARPG's.

People like different things. I can't stand competitive multiplayer, yet League of Legends and Counter-Strike are some of the biggest games on the planet. Just because I don't like it, that doesn't mean there isn't a market for it. You're not in the demographic for PoE2, that's fine. You're more interested in games like PoE1, and that's totally fine. But just because you don't like it, that doesn't mean there isn't a market for a game like PoE2.

An unfinished and unpolished version of PoE2 was on the top 10 played games on Steam for several months, so clearly there are a lot of people who are in the market for a game like this. And those are all people who were willing to play 30 dollars for it. At some point it will go F2P and lower the barrier to entry.

I'm sorry, but there's just no way this game isn't going to succeed. Y'all can theorize all you want about how it's going to die because you personally don't like it, but the numbers don't lie. This game has already succeeded.
