Don't Get It. Why Not Let Legacy of Phrecia Event Run unitl 3.26?

PoE2 has china on the same servers as the rest of the world now though.

My guess is the initial decision for a month length was because they weren't sure about popularity/engagement or they thought ascendancies/idols would be so broken any longer would be bad for the game. Then they extended when it wasn't so bad after all (in fact the ascendancies are so good they are basically on par with the standard ones that have been balanced for years). Now past the current 2 months, extending it further would clash with their plans for poe2. But who knows, maybe (hopefully) they will still extend it the full length to 3.26?

Maybe there will be some other event after Phrecia ends or a modified version of it... idk.

Hard to believe that there won't be anything till (maybe) June.


In any case, it might not be worth to extend it. The economy of idols seems somewhat crazy, out of curiosity i checked trade today, seen a few idols for 10c and then idols that cost divines, will check later again.

And also, according to steamcharts, peak players in the last 24h was around 18k, now add another month or so to this event and it will be most likely dead...

If anything, I'd expect modified Phrecia till 3.26. Like idols+atlas tree (and no friggin boats, enough of it already, just keep the black market for gold sink idk). Or some new event with these ascendancies.

I like the idol system and I'm okay with their RNG and having to re-combinate to get very good idols.

The problem is trading for them with the current trade system.

idols are annoying while also being op as Hell. The Ascendencies are OP as hell too and i get it, this is fun, so just let the league run until 3.26.

I’m enjoying my 9 endurance charges and free defiance of destiny. Makes HC tolerable for a scrub.

+1 for extending the event. Honestly I don't see myself playing settlers as I already quit that league a month in. I also didn't really enjoy the endgame on poe2. I play console and cannot play a private league either. This event is badass, so let us play till next league!

Yeah now that Phrecia is up, not sure which players win by shutting it down?

The game is a mix of many different types with different goals, but which of them benefit at all from shutting Phrecia down?

The 10 people who stuck in settlers cornering the market hoping people would come back?

Maybe there will be another event?

This is exactly how I think about this also. And I expect that GGG will "extend" it again until 3.26 but I could be wrong.

They want the players to have a break prior to the next league it helps with retention and in the case of phrecia it gives players a time to forget the flavour of OP currently available.

That is my base understanding anyway, but they may extend it again regardless especially if .26 is likely to be delayed.
