Don't Get It. Why Not Let Legacy of Phrecia Event Run unitl 3.26?

Are people not enjoying it?
Is it because of POE 2 patch?
More experiments at the expense of POE 1 community?

Or is it again part of some grand vision?

I also don't understand. It's good that it was extended, but I don't know why it was initially only one month if there wasn't anything else planned.
The endgame is really bad. Idols are extremely RNG and while they do bring things "over" the usual things it's just not the same. The economy is also pretty bad on the event.

The atlas currently fits perfectly for the endgame. It was a bad idea from the start to not make them crafteable unlike in the past when we had watchstones.
"Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."

Once you break the cycle of fear no angels or demons can whisper you their sweet nothing words.

poe2 = ruthless 2.0 = bad.

I see a few points of critique against Phrecia here, some of which I agree with. What I don't see, is a reason for the event to end before 3.26. Who/what benefits from that decision?
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

Not disagreeing. There is no endgame, but why not let it run if there is no full league to release and let people decide when they are bored of it? It's going to be more interesting for a lot of people than continuing settlers after so long.

Maybe it drains resources to keep it running. Or they didn't want people to complain it was not enough content to justify longer than a month and publicity blah blah.

It is surely better option than no league. There is a lot that can be done with the ascendancies. Where's the downside?

I don't even see a reason why we can't keep all the new ascendancies in Standard after the event...

Standard is where everything legacy is supposed to go right?
I think it is a bit whacky for that, even for standard. You're not the only one who has mentioned they would like the option for it to continue though.

80% of players from an Event/League launch leave within the 1st-2nd week. I guess GGG was expecting Phrecia to drop-off like Necro-Settlers did.
Steam charts show poe2 still having 50% more daily players then poe1's Phrecia, and that's with like zero new content in poe2, AND you have to pay to play poe2.

Players are playing poe2 more, and ggg wants it that way. Why extend your free to play model into the same time that the pay to play poe2's update launches?
If that's all true and steam charts are a good indicator, I would say it's pretty good numbers for a game that is 12 years old and didn't get a proper league launch to be keeping up with the new release.

They said they want to keep both games running simultaneously, so I assume by their word that is what they intend on doing. Seems like an easy win, which I assume is why they extended it and added the option to the private leagues.
