Are our levels really going to be reset once the new season starts?

Very few characters stay in standard. Also I dont think you can use the trade website in standard.

current characters will never end up in the actual Standard which cmaes with 1.0
these current one will end in EA league or whatever and there will be no trading since nobody cares actual STD will have players but same as on PoE 1, everything is expensive AF and you cannot sell almost anything d:-D*

EA POE 1 characters went to standard. There is no EA poe1 league. Its going to be EXACTLY the same here.
There also will not be a "1.0" release. When the first POE2 league comes, all the current players will go to the newly created standard league. Otherwise known as the garbage dump. You can keep playing your toons in the garbage dump, but you will not have access to league content, SOMETIMES not all the time and very seldomly the leagues are added in to the standard league usually missing the OP unique or power scaling items from that league but keeping the mechanics. Then rinse and repeat every 3 mths the leagues will dump all their items and toons into the standard garbage dump to rot.
