there is a software called BES use that to limit the cpu usage by like 5% for POE still why dafuk didnt they add the fix when they updated poe2...

well, problem might be related to win11 idk, but since all other games work correctly, assume its POE the one which has to get updated. this has been going on for weeks tho, and still not a word from GGG..... i just got the first crash of the new event now, and already stopped playing.

played 45 minutes in the event then first freeze, same as in poe2, why no fix ggg? and pls stop blaming windows for this, if you make a game for windows you have to take care about that in runs on windows lol

I had this issue in poe2 as well, but the recent patch that they released with the potential fix seemed to fix it for me. Wasn't that supposed to be added to poe1 with this patch?
I just got a 5090 a few days ago and I'm experiencing this PC hard freeze in poe1. I don't get it in poe2 anymore. PC specs: Windows 11 24H2 Ryzen 7 9800x3d Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 48GB DDR5 RAM I have enough to worry about checking my 5090 power connector burning that I don't want to risk potential hardware failures due to hard freezes and forced restarts. Was the fix missed with the patch? |

was very exited to play the event but nope it still crashes the whole pc. 3 k hours and suddenly since poe2 launch the game is shitting in pampers

Hopefully someone is still reading this thread but it looks like POE is hard crashing the GPU driver, specifically gobbling up all the memory
I have had two hard PC freezes in the Phrecia event and both times when I look in Event Viewer, I see events for "Ran out of Memory" and the Source is the NVIDIA OpenGL Driver The latest one was after opening the game and simply going to Kingsmarch I don't have the latest NVIDIA driver, but the one prior. |

Same here, I thought this was a PoE 2 issue (that also had btw) but I just started the event yesterday and first loading screen, boom, entire pc froze.
Well, I guess I have to use PoE Uncrasher once again, so far I've seen 2 freezes on this program that would've freeze my computer again. Classic GGG. |
