PC freezing

game has been crashing for weeks now. it crashes the whole system having to force-reboot.poe1 it's the only game crashing among all games i play. crashes always happen when loading a zone. windows system.

This just happened to me. Windows 11 pro 24H2.
I downloaded the latest patch that came out last night and as soon as I tried to enter Sanctum, my computer froze, the cursor moved very slowly, but then all the sound in the system was turned off, the stream of Jungroan on the next monitor stopped watching, and my attempts to run Ctrl + Alt + Del or Win key or Alt + F4 were unsuccessful. Within a few seconds, the cursor completely froze in one place and the NUMLOCK indicator on the keyboard became unresponsive - that's how I knew that Windows was completely frozen. It did not reboot automatically and I did not get a blue screen of death, I had to force a reboot.
I did not use any cCleaner / Wise / RegOptimizer or similar programs. I recently installed a fresh system and did not change anything in it, except disabling OneDrive. I downloaded the system from the official Microsoft website and activated it with the key that I had (I didn't hack the system), installed all the drivers (the latest one from the Nvidia website) and also all the system updates, after that I rebooted the system and repeatedly played PoE 1. Until this point, the game often (about 1-5 times a day) closed when using Directx12, but today, instead of crashing, the system simply froze completely, which is the first time.

Yep similar Win 24h2 crashes as poe2 had. works on older windows 11 builds if i roll back.

I can sometimes load in if I remove some CPU core affinities from Poe executable and change to DX11

Only way to recover is to hold power button to force power-off

Is it normal now?

Last update locks whole system, even ctrl+alt+del is not working.
"PoE uncrush" is amust now, even for PoE1?

i mean, i'm not rolling back any windows update, and i'm not using any 3rd party weird app.
none of the other games i play have this problem, so it's on GGG. if they don't bother fixing it i don't bother playing, cuz tbh, i'm fed up at this point with it. been playing for 2 weeks with this problem and it's just unbearable. you end up having to force-reboot your PC several times a day and end up mad. just not worth it.
i've seen A LOT of threads in the BUG REPORT and in the TECH SUPPORT sections stating this problem and i don't think GGG has even said anything about it, answered any of the threads, etc... so i wouldn't expect them to fix it for the event which starts today so... nice.

After constant poe2 whole pc freeze on loading screen now i wanted to play poe1 league but it happened on lvl10. Uninstalled.

5 times in the last hour. Don't normally have probs on my laptop. Was looking forward to the new league. Oh well, back to POE2 *Sigh*

Got this issue on both PoE1 and PoE2. Good fun that I won't get to play either of them.

Crashed the moment I tried to load in earlier before Phrecia started, but was only a desktop crash. Restarted the game, and it crashed again, only this time the classic whole pc freezing thing. Went fullscreen and seemed fine testing a few maps, played for an hour now and then again same issue. Sigh...

I tried to change to Vulkan renderer and playing few hours, but it again crashed (PC slowly stops to respond and completely freeze). So I don't think this problem in DX12, it is in Windows 11 or in POE.
