PoE 2 has lost over 80% of its players in 3 months.
What i wanted to say is... I don´t want to Play Path of Trading!
In my whole Game time i used 2 Items for myself of my Drops, the Rest is Sold/bought/Traded. Not really the Experience i want to have. Timbo mentioned it before, i want to have a "Upgrade" Feeling, from my time i Grinded, not for how long i watched a Trading site. Last edited by Wolfsgeist84#9693 on Feb 23, 2025, 7:54:55 AM

Well, it currently has only 3 acts, basically without endgame. What to do with 3 acts for 3 months? And still, almost 100k people are still playing it even in the current state, which is kind of a miracle.

" People play because bones are good. Visuals, sound effects, animations, art, items design - all this is so good just to observe. You feel very GOOD simply by moving your character, casting a spell or skill. I'm actually surprised people taking it for granted and no one speaks about that. Because this is a huge step from POE1 and many other ARPGS, incuding even D4 (in some of these aspects). Take for example Last Epoch. People keep praising many of its mechanics and yet no one plays it. Because visually/aesthetically the game is very mediocre. Last edited by Azimuthus#1135 on Feb 23, 2025, 11:22:27 AM

" I am not going to challenge how bad LE compares on technical level to POE 2 and D4. That's something that is pretty evident. But I would argue that it has been greatly misjudged. And the reason for that miss-judgement is kind of obvious now after POE2 EA. - LE compares bad on gameplay with 10+ years of features / leagues in POE1 - LE compares pretty bad on graphics with D4/POE 2 At the time LE was released, people used to POE1 would criticize the lack of end-game/features and people liking D4 gameplay would criticize how horrid the graphics are and how comparable lacking the endgame is. I would say that's fair criticism. Then POE2 happened. POE2 can't compete with POE1 in list of features / leagues neither. But the problems is that POE2 game systems are vastly inferior to LE by a huge margin too. So the only game that can be compared POE2 with right now is D4. And that is also a fair criticism. So: - From game systems POV: POE1 > LE >> [POE2 or D4] - From game graphics POV: POE2 > D4 >> [POE1 or LE] Then you pick up your favorite looking within the details/differences of each game. If we were moved to standard I would keep playing atm. Its pretty useless now since it will all be gone once game releases.

" Seems to be an issue with the game design then. Should probably aim to fix that. Live service games are awful in this regard. If they really want to give players a good experience, they need to put the effort into making the entire game fun. Not just new content. If I had the ability to play old versions of PoE 1, I would still be grinding my heart out on the old CoC patches. Especially with the old flicker strike builds. Those were my jam. This is one of the things I hate most about live service games, is that you cannot go back and play certain patches in most cases. League of Legends was peak at around Season 4-5 for over-all enjoyment for me. WoW was similar, but they eventually caved and gave us Vanilla and TBC. But most live service games. Once the game is patched and updated. That specific patch, is just gone. This isn't the case for single player games, at least in some cases, you can choose which patch to play on for many of them. " LE actually has quite decent gameplay, much better than PoE 1. Well, PoE 1 has one of the worst gameplays, pople play it not for the gameplay, but just because there is plenty things to farm. One random example is archer's skill which makes feathers drop on the floor during maybe 5 sec in random locations around character. You can pick it up and each feather buff one auto-attack. So you are moving depending where mobs and feathers are (and you are usually not one-shot all mobs like in PoE 1), so it is quite engaging. There is nothing like this in PoE 1, which has only very straight-forward and primitive gameplay. Last edited by Suchka_777#4336 on Feb 23, 2025, 6:22:13 PM
