PoE 2 has lost over 80% of its players in 3 months.

" You are a walking cliche . " Oh there is a ton of people who are fed up about their 24/7 BS ... you can't see all of it because these fanboys spend their days mod-reporting "hate speech" against them to try cleaning their echo chamber of any dissent . Isn´t that the same Clown who Insulted everyone in Diablo 4 Community Site on Steam?
Because "PoE2 will wipe the Floor with D4" and such Delusional Bullshit? I see no Wiped Floor, just the same Trolltalk oO |

" I'm free to play (mostly). I have 4 premium stash tabs from PoE1 days and a friend was kind enough to hand out some extra keys to friends so we could guild up together for the EA. I'm sure you've got some great (or at least constructive) points to make about the game, but your perspective on what someone's wallet means isn't one of them. " I don't post on my main account, you get probated/banned for nothing around here, not worth it at all. | |
" Really? I think it's the opposite. People can trash-talk, troll or even threaten others here ALOT before getting a probation or even a ban. GGG should be way more admninistrative when it comes to handing out probations and bans. Why do I think that? I had my trash-talk time too and do you know what happened? GGG sent me a private message and asked me to keep it civil. No probation or ban, just a warning that I definitely deserved. And I think that people who go into probation did tons of stuff to deserve that. And to even get a ban must mean, you breached the forum rules quite alot of times. |

" Agreed, except they may well have the game (30$ key pack had nothing but EA access and 300 points) but they certainly haven’t invested anything more than 30$ (assuming they’ve played) into the game. I’ll put my hand up, first mtx I bought I was too new (and dumb) and bought the raw points and not the pack that had the same price and pints but some mtx and a badge. Not made that mistake since :) (ALL typos lack of caps, punctuation and general errors are copyright Timbo Industries - Laziness Division)

" In my opinion (everyone has one) I think that’s harsh. I agree the game needs work but it’s hard to measure a game when the people testing it are experts in that game (GGG staff) and the closed beta testers were experts in PoE1. It’s not until you take the leap of faith to let it out to the general public that specific issues show up. For what’s it’s worth I think they’ve done an excellent job for an early public beta, the game engine is superb, the campaign is beautiful (but way too long to repeat every 3 months and potential for more than one character) and sure in my option should start a little easier and ramp up to roughly being right in act 3 (but I feel the lake area monsters are a tiny bit to tanks and a tiny bit too high on dmg). The endgame is also great, it lacks a hell of a lot of QoL and off atlas (such as delve or heist as examples) activities and definitely needs some changes (personally I am still against the one portal thing, I believe towers should not need a way stone due to tiny mod counts in them compared to a map (or at least guarantee a same tier watstone for a full clear, some of the maos are unpopular but we know (from PoE1) that as time progresses they will add a lot more maps and then rotate them each league. There is plenty else to deal with like adding the other acts (I believe one by one) and classes and ascendancies etc. There is also a need for some extreme case of overpower (minor cases I’d just leave be for now) that need kerbing down a bit (for example I play the ice spear invoker and I believe it to be a good baseline for power (and some classes need to be brought up to this baseline) but it can negate boss mechanics and this could be solved by changing the boss freeze thresholds and giving a CD on how quickly a boss can be refrozen, this in my opinion would be better than nerfing the build at this stage). When all the classes and all the acts and all the ascendancies are in game and throughly tested then they can do a final balance parse, else they’re going to have to repeat the balance several times. Jonathan has been a great figurehead for the company (since Chris has left) and he has always shown great knowledge and enthusiasm for the product. He is rather rigid on some topics but isn’t locked in on any of them. (ALL typos lack of caps, punctuation and general errors are copyright Timbo Industries - Laziness Division)

" I’d agree it’s harder to win some pone back that you’ve lost than it is to keep them. That said I’ve quit poe2 but will be back to check out 0.2.0 and will quit that about a month after. Rinse and repeat. It’s not until final release that I will decide if I will play both games or just the original (for others it might not be either). " Free keys were only for press and lifetime supporters (spent 500$ or more on PoE1). A basic EA access pack was, as I said in earlier reply, just a key to play and 300 points (no badge) for 30$ and those people will have no badge and the right to an opinion whether you or anyone else agrees with that opinion.
