The games officially dried up for me
" Yea , just play without hands or something, you will never burn out of content... Now on the OP side, yup, I get the same feeling, if the next big patch implementation is master crafting I will be having war flashbacks, from the time vorici had stupid ass quests. Also when they said we will have end game, because no game tests end game and they wanted to do it differently, I actually thought we will have end game testing, not well, same old league mechanics baked in behind a lot of issues.. Now I am not a hater, I still think that development is hard and yea testing / bug fixing is a big part of the development problems, but I didn't think it would have taken them so long to release something new... I would have soon rather wait for it to have everything implemented and just EA it for like half a year or a year, than just getting content fed with the spoon and not even that... But yea, now they have developers split betwen PoE1 and PoE2 so yeah, things look rough. Never invite Vorana, Last To Fall at a beer party. Last edited by Vendetta#0327 on Feb 17, 2025, 1:12:53 PM

" I see this argument a lot, and it just completely fails to acknowledge that PoE2 is a different game. Sure, if they were just making PoE1 all over again from scratch, then you could expect them to do it great right out of the gate - since they've already gotten really good at that over the past decade. But that's not what they're doing. They're not making PoE1 again, they're making a new, different game. It has a lot in common with PoE1, but it's still a different game. There are things they're doing now that they have never tried to do before. To put it in perspective, no amount of Counter-Strike will make you an expert at Valorant, being really good at Counter-Strike doesn't mean you no longer have to learn the game and practice to get good at Valorant. It does give you a huge advantage though. That's exactly what's going on here. No amount of making PoE1 will make GGG experts at making PoE2 just right on their first try. It just gives them an advantage, which is why PoE2 doesn't feel like a game made by devs who've never made an ARPG before, and it's also why PoE2 feels like a game that needs work. You can't just take 13 years of PoE1 and translate it to a flawless early access version of PoE2. That's the entire reason they're doing an early access, instead of just making the whole game and releasing it, because there's a lot of new shit here that they're not as experienced with. So they need a lot of feedback while it's still in early enough stages to adjust and rework. Making PoE1 for 13 years does not mean their early access should be a finished and polished product, and if you don't understand that then you just really have no clue how game development works. " And that's the proof that you clearly have no clue how game development works. If you think this game needs several years of development time, then for your own sake you should really just stop talking. You're making yourself look extremely clueless, all while being way too confident. Last edited by MarsAstro#7928 on Feb 17, 2025, 5:19:35 PM

I stopped really playing when i realized i was no longer picking anything up.
I wont pick up a white item cause im sick of wasting my time on them. Why bother .. its always crap. I don't pick up blue items either, why bother, i only have 7 orbs left to convert to rare, and the 9999 times before it was always shit, so why bother... its always crap. I don't read the descriptions on the trial rooms or the boons or the curses anymore. I used to , but would be so angry, not annoyed, angry at the brain dead choices being offered... nope . just click and go .. why bother ... its always crap. I wanted to get to the end game, I don't trade, I will never trade. Trading is for those with raisins for nuts. But im level 78 and have been using the same weapon since i was level 40, 2 characters ago , I have been using the same weapon for 180 levels across 3 characters, why am i playing ?.. its always crap . to me i've checked out.
but only because ggg has to work on poe1 AND continue developing poe2. i definitely would be back when they hit us with a new big patch. currently EA standard is in such a state that if you follow a build you can farm up. but if you dont you will struggle hard. ggg made the call to NOT nerf the overperformers as it would ruin their builds. so as a mace user i can see the gap increasing wider. it takes me what? 5-10 minutes to clear a map while an overperformer takes 3-5 AND theirs is juiced? since GGG wants them to have fun, inversely i feel that my time playing the game is inferior or i am punished for not exploiting this and just using overperforming builds. even if they make melee great again, if theres no economic reset it just feels bad as i m so far behind economically. also, i'm very conscious that this is EA. so i m not putting too much hopes up. POE2 is simultaneously the best and worst thing to happen to POE. on one hand it shows me the very PEAK of trumelee. on another it shows other skills out perform trumelee by a huge scale. so much so the only way to make trumelee better is to nerf everything else down. this will not sit well since they are the majority. the other solution would be to buff maces up. but if that happens everything is overperforming. players will then bitch about how the game is easy and ggg will start making harder content and we're back to POE1 all over again where the gap between good and casual players is so bloody wide. i m hoping for ggg to make poe2 better and distance itself from poe1. whether it happens or not is unknown but i m really at the point that i've started learning to enjoy other games. Heralds being OP is truly bad design and kills it for me too.. I understand.
Also bad uniques is something that hurts the game and should be changed in time. I also find myself frustrated with stat requirements. It's totally understandable that you're bored with it at this point, and can't really blame the game for this. Needs more time for sure. |
