The games officially dried up for me
Nothing to do boss. Can't run the same sandbox infinite times with the same 1 or 2 functional builds. Every class runs Heralds... There is zero variety of build options. Warrior is garbanzo, WH is clunky af to play, I have 3 high level characters and they all do lightning damage. My Ranger is basically a Spark sorcerer. Oh, and I have a spark sorcerer as well... Unique items are trash across the board, and crafting is still so rng I can't even stomach it anymore.
I get that it's still early access or whatever but dang man. How hard could it be to buff some Uniques? I'm fading fast. I have 3 level 90 plus characters and I cant stomach leveling another one through that extra slow dps burn that is levels 1 through 40 or so. It was literally faster to auto attack enemies with my Warrior well into level 30 or so. It's so bad, ngl.... Every single ability is terrible. Hot fix something.... Yesterday. IMO quit now if lost interest and wait for the next league.
This is how GGG works. You get a drip every three months. There's major issues as you said, as they said in their press release. When I get bored I'm gonna quit this league, maybe try Poe1 event league. The basic issue I see is a lack of endgame content and the massive balance issues zzz zzz zzz |

"Early access" is not an excuse. They have had 13 years to perfect and learn from Path of Exile, that the stuff in the game being as trash as it is, isn't defend able with "Oh it's EA".
I'll give them credit for Uniques, they tried to make them better but another pass is needed for sure. Crafting? Crafting is absolute trash, it's pretty much POE1 beta crafting which everyone thought was trash so they changed it. Not saying it needs to be like POE1s in EA, but come on, put the crafting bench in at least. This game isn't getting out of early access anytime this year or next year. Well maybe a beta state like POE1 was in for a few years, but this games full release is years away. Last edited by Biovital#3172 on Feb 12, 2025, 7:59:29 PM

" PoE1 was great with just the 3 acts, never really needed the rest, after youve played the campaign a couple times its just something you rush through to level up your character to maps which is when the game really "starts." |

" This is it, this was the full release POE1 style just like 10 years ago, they were hoping they could slow walk updates and content from poe1 for a few years, but shock and horror it seems that players are unhappy losing 10 years of content and they are DESPERATELY trying to patch something in while the game leaks players at alarming rates. |

Stop running op meta builds if you don't want to burn out so fast. Pick a class/build that gives you a challenge instead (like check poe2ninja for the least used class/build).

I played a lot of poe2 without trying everything but at least I did all the content and I also reached a stage where I feel kind of done for now.
I am a bit worried for what is to come, I think poe2 is a good base but there are many aspects I would like to see changed, added and rebalanced to make me feel like playing the game again. It is clear that they shot pretty wrongly at many aspects, they can fix it but the fact they aimed so poorly is concerning and could be an indication they will not hit the mark with 0.2 and maybe other patches to come. They could get there even while doing mistakes if there were quick substantial patches but they are also too far behind the development milestones to be able to do that at this moment so that is another reason of worries. If they keep adding new classes and acts where some classes, uniques and skills completly make pointless the others then the game will never reconquer the feeling of being fresh and giving the itch for people to explore new builds. I think part of the issue is baked in the gem system, the restriction on supports is a bit silly to begin with and goes against the whole poe1 philosophy. So either 0.2 is surprisingly good with lot of new content and exciting end game goals or poe2 will be in a slog for the next year or more before it reaches a point where it is refined enough to be enticing again, at least to me atm. But when POE was in its infancy, I played the beta for a while and felt done with the game as well and only came back a few years later so maybe that is gonna be the case here as well. |

I find it absolutely crazy it took PoE2 fans this long to realize the game sucks. Like.. one look at the gem system and it should've been painfully obvious just from that. Because gems are limited to 1 per type, there's no room for goofy fun builds where for instance you just proc a bunch of poison off random skills and have fun. Nope, you can proc poison off ONE skill and the rest need to complement it. Which leads to... forced running a minus resists gem, a herald, and a penetration gem.
How a gaming company manages to make a game worse than the original Diablo in 2025 is insane. The game companies already figured out the formula for printing money. Sponsor shill streamers to play your crappy game, and it comes back to you at a 10 to 1 ratio. Invest that same money in your crappy game, the ratio isn't the same. Why make a decent game when you can pay Kripparian 50k to make a video that will net you $5 million longterm? Everything they did was also intentional. Limiting gem systems and 1 shot mechanics = cortisol/stress hormone spikes, which game devs know will lead to COSMETIC PURCHASES. Low-T betas love showing off pricey armors nobody of value ever looks at for more than a second. Low-T betas love playing the game Quinn420 and Krippshillian tell them to. "OMG I'M PART OF THE SQUAD". Play a sport, ffs. |

I don't get it... you play like 3 builds, 2 of them failed, and complain about build diversity? How are those non-spark players playing the game?
Maybe do some research first, around what you want to play and how to get to the point where you can clear everything comfortably? (eg leveling uniques, basic T15 map clear gear, etc) Last edited by 6_din_49#4066 on Feb 13, 2025, 6:02:27 AM
