I don't know what to do, maybe I should look for something PoE-like
" I suggest you not rot in Standard and learn how to be efficient and faster in decision making while starting a new league I'm not asking you to become the zoom-zoom lord, but to just be efficient with your time How long does it take you to clear 10 acts on first char? If its more than 10 hours then you have a lot to work on 1 hour per act is a golden rule for a casual gamer that isn't a sluggish slow snail lol P.S : oh and no i dont know any details on thee engine etc, haven't played for PoE1 for 3+ months and im waiting for a new league to start The wait is killing me slowly lol Last edited by shadowthedead#5607 on Feb 6, 2025, 5:08:40 AM

" Strangely enough, I'd heard absolutely nothing about Dragonkin: The Banished. I really hope it gets off to a better start than Wolcen did in its day... I think I'll give it a chance after the PoE1 event in a month's time. Otherwise, to complete the list of games suggested, OP could be tempted by Titan Quest, even though it's ageing. This will be a good opportunity for him to get his hands on this licence while waiting for Titan Quest 2 to be released by the end of the year/beginning of the next. |

" Hello. I have to say that yes my first character did took me more than 10 hours to clear the 10 acts, I'm one that likes to explore the zones that i go through, maybe it's a big mistake of mine but that's why i feel like i belong to standard league, i never played a league to the fullest because i either loose interest due to feel like i'm falling behind and also because i can't play everyday or at times for many hours. |

Softcore trade new leagues have trillions of parties and people playing for months, i suggest you not to rot in standard and learn the game with other players
You can play Standard after you've done things you wanted in a league, i guess a lot of people do that in SC Also try HC, whole different game |

" I don't understand what is the problem with "rot" in standard league? Is Standard a bad place to play? |

" Standard has all the currency and items gathered from 10 years of leagues meaning trade will be improbable due to the shear cost of everything. That's assuming people will bother switching their character to standard to trade with you. You're essentially playing SSF(single player) if you start or continue in standard league. But you don't have much of a choice right now as Settler(the current league) is also dead. You need to wait for a new POE1 league(3.26) to come, which has no release date currently. And was delayed by POE2 far beyond the regular league releases(3-6 months.) |

" Hello Assababud how are you doing? I think i will try the Standard League and see how i like it. I have a question that i didn't manage to find the answer to. So picture this, I am playing Standard league, leveling my character and so on, meanwhile a league that was in the live version goes to be part of Standard, what happens to my character? Do i have to start again? Do i just keep playing? |

" No matter what league you start your character in, you can ALWAYS keep playing. If you start your character in a live league, it will get transferred to Standard league when the live league is over. If you start your character in Standard league, it will remain "forever". Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

There are no PoE-likes, just PoE-wannabes.
This is the best league to stick around though. If you feel like you fall short to get the more advanced content this league is the best to get rich and try out different crafting methods and such. If you feel like you want to switch for a bit then this year there's going to be many interesting games. I'm waiting for 'Atre: Dominance Wars' to come out although I have no idea if it will be good or not. Best of luck either way! |
