Legit PoE2 Feedback

I'm just gonna drop some bullet point ideas I've had.

-Make well great again: give slight temporary buff to flask charges gained when refilling at a well.

-Make bosses great again: make boss maps isolated arena fights with HARD bosses. Increase frequency of boss maps.

-Make crafting great again: give us a better way to reroll items than the aweful reforger. That thing is just alt orbs with more steps (ie: friction).

-Make trade great again: PoE2 needs a player AH. This isn't negotiable anymore I feel with the amount of scams and broken etiquette that arose with new community growth.

-Make EA great again: quit being afraid to nerf and buff shit during EA. THIS is the time when you have the greatest freedom to throw random shit a the wall and see what sticks. During regular leagues players will not want shakeups, but during EA we kind of expect it to some degree.

-Make ascendancies great again: I think allowing respeccing during EA will allow players to give more informed feedback because we can test more. During regular leagues I can understand why you might want to remove that possibility.

Map tab when GGG? I made one in MS paint in an hour. What's the hold up? (Alright I didn't, but reddit did.)

I'm really curious player thoughts on this.

I'd rather bosses were tougher and in their own arenas, but waystones kind of get in the way there, the other rares still drop good loot so the boss loot would have to be mega buffed and I think you'd end up with extreme boss killer builds farming the ever living heck out of them making the game even more unbalanced

Better just to stick a boss in every map like the old days, empty maps have "filler" written all over them

See I'm not worried about that type of balancing because in my eyes what PoE2 does best is bosses. The bosses are hands down the best part of PoE2 (and campaign). Making bosses the cool epic part of end game should be the desired outcome I would think.
By "extreme boss killer builds" I mean ones that run away with that content meaning everything gets balanced towards those, and everyone else gets priced out

It kind of already does that, though, does it not? And my point is that should be the desired outcome. I feel GGG should want players to be boss spamming and whatnot. Mapping should be supplementary like if your build is slightly behind still or you want a chill map blast experience. Bossing should be the hardcore progression path for most builds and players for PoE2, in my opinion.

Edit: otherwise we're just playing poe1 with nicer graphics.

Ok then no, I'd rather bosses in every map rather than getting stuck in the kiddie pool because I'm a couple of weeks behind the curve

I felt this way at first too, but I disagree anymore and I can't quite fully explain why because I'm basing it on my idea of perceived "fun". (It's not fun to do a whole map only to die to a boss and lose it all and have to restart the map anyway because your build is behind the curve.)

Edit: players behind their power curve need a way to get power and dying to bosses in every map will not help that I don't feel. They don't get to progress atlas, they don't get exp, but the loot is the same (because you can't kill the bosses anyway).

Ok, my issue is:

They make bosses harder <- good
High value meta builds trivialise it <- inevitable

What now? Either they balance boss toughness to those top builds and now they're stupid hard for normal builds, they nerf the builds and probably take everyone else out in the process, or the bosses get under the table nerfed the next league because they introduce more boss killing skills

There are pinnacle bosses for the top end builds, I don't think they should monopolise everything else as well

Frankly I'm 100% with you here. This is the form that PoE2's power creep will take, and I don't think there is a solution other than a soft nerf to all power at some stage later on (as they've done with PoE1 at times). I think this is just the nature of power creep though, and it's as you said, inevitable. I don't have a solution for this problem. But I also don't think its existence is necessarily a detriment or unhealthy for the game.

Edit: A meta will always exist, regardless how one might try to balance it out.

Another idea to combat the boss meta is to have mechanics, like delirium, which can be made to be more map-friendly for juicing versus boss-friendly for juicing.

That would open multiple avenues for player power progression because you can have blasting builds for maps and bossing builds for, well bosses. PoE1 similarly has this, but I think even at the high end delirium, breach, and such mechanics, it pivots from mob blasting to bossing (in PoE1).
