GGG if you want to retain players number you have to add an Auction House
Because the vast majority of people dont want to spendt there precious playing time sitting on their hands trying to make contact and dodging conmen and chineses farmers.
I want an Auction House so I can just put things to sales at the market suggested price without having to do research and with garantee I will get payed what I asked. I want an Auction House to I can at any time look what is to sell and buy it with a mouse click with no haggling, human interraction, delay or scam attempt. I want an Auction House so trade interraction are monitored and the economy controlled with bot-protection and market dumping control. I want an Auction House so I can have fun with the game. Wrong. The game has been around for over a decade without AH.
There are multiple reasons why an AH will not be added to the game. |

This issue has persisted in PoE for at least five or six years, and I’ve always maintained a 50/50 stance—I don’t fully support it, but I don’t oppose it either.
Its benefits are obvious: trading can be exhausting. Sometimes in PoE1, even when I have 100+ divines, if I want to create a new build, I need to spend 2-4 hours buying all the gear, gems, and jewels I need. But what about the downsides? People rarely talk about them. If the trading interface is too convenient and simple, AI trading bots will dominate the market. With enough capital, they could buy out everything available, driving prices so high that only RMTers could afford them. |

Then they need to have crafting more viable with much better drop rates. This system is already inaccessible for alot of people. With 100% rarity it takes around 10-15 hours of gameplay to drop an exalty orb and I got my first divine 3 days ago after over 350 hours of game time. If you want to keep this trading system it's has to be viable to play without it because there are many serious risks and issues with it

I would like some kind of Auction House as the price fixers trying to get people to list their item for lass and then buy it and sell it higher would not be a thing
BUT GGG has said on a couple of times they don't want one :( |

We don't really need a full auction house, just a insta buyout that doesn't interrupt the seller.

I just want to sell my stuff while offline don´t care what you call it

This game tends to attract the [Removed by Support] types.
I haven't touched PoE2 since end of December. I played with 3 other friends and we made great memories; we all quit. 2 of us trade for real irl. We don't want anything to do with this shit in a video game. So yeah, AH, fire and forget, whatever you wanna call it, is a great idea. I don't want to monitor and watch shit or have to interact with randoms. But I guess if the community wants to stay only exclusive for the smelly Magic player types, that's okay too lol. Everybody needs a safe space! Last edited by Lynart#7229 on Jan 31, 2025, 10:37:16 AM

I get the appeal. I have never and will never trade under current system. But suspect it would catastrophically alter game balance.
Maybe gate it behind a t15 waystone or something. 'It' being anything from AH to something more like last epoch to basic afk trading. |

" Yeah people that write like this stopping to play surely is a huge loss for the poe community .... |
