Ultima Online was a fun game...for its time. Everquest...same thing. Everything has a time, and the need to evolve is there for both the customer and the developer. If you don't like POE 2, then that's fine. Do what I do when it comes to Fallout...don't play it. Which leads to the last point. It is highly...HIGHLY unlikely that POE 1 is the only game you have installed. YOU have moved on as well. You just keep POE 1 around like an old favorite blanket. Sure, you get that warm fuzzy feeling, but it's not the blanket you and your SO are using every night.

Ok. Done with that metaphor. Glad you still like POE 1, but give them a break. POE 2 has some serious crash issues that 100's of pages of forum posts are complaining about. It's a huge problem that they need to put first, as these people paid money for the EA. Last I looked, POE 1 is still FTP.

New player here. This is a bit scary since I just started playing both games. POE1 feels a ton better with the gem system, balance, really everything. In POE2 I had to skip an entire map because the poison damage in it was over kill and everything was poisoning me (there was so much poison for the love of god why was there so much poison).

POE2 feels a bit busted. I dont know what it it is either something feels horribly off.

POE1 however is a lot more enjoyable to play. Its a bit scary to hear this, as a dev myself (for my own indie studio not related to this at all) it feels like a decision like this is detrimental.

One of the biggest issues is creating unreasonable deadlines and then not sticking to them.

Deadlines should be stuck to for sure, however you should plan ahead a bit better.

Mind you I am not going to currently stop playing either game. Though POE2 is overly brutal. Like I cant even put it into words lol. I like a challenge but dear god XD.

POE1 just plays smoother and seems to foster a community. Seeing a video like this while I appreciate the honesty from the devs feels extremely scary. It feels like in fact there is the potential that the game gets completely abandoned.

I find this odd since both games play entirely differently and are in fact two different feeling games.

I dont know. This is kind of upsetting. Hopefully you guys can find a way to not completely exile your current player base for something that has its own programming team that seems to be being divested for whatever reason.

Additionally, Why not just have a go between that helps smooth things between both teams?

One last note. It feels like the game is being laid out in such a way to stop new players from getting to areas that are problematic. I dont think a brutal one tap kick to the face is the best way to do this.

Regardless I do enjoy both games. However, POE1 seems to be my favorite and it seems like a ton of the community would agree.

Hopefully, you guys can figure something out I would be quite sad to see this new found gem die (like the new gem system XD(its cool but ehh kind of liked the freedom of feeling like I am creating my own class in the first one))

I LOVE Poe 1 and spent a lot of money on supporter packs and a lot of time in the game.

I can't help it but POE2 is not fun. I want POE1 back.

I'm really sad about the news and as many other stated I think it is time to move on to other games...

yeah i think its fine, shit happens. it was always gonna be a bit ambitious and this crossover time was always going to be the worst bit where it would potentially become unworkable for a while.

its not the end of the world, its fine.
