A Message to Path of Exile 1 Players
screw poe2 then, and screw GGG for pretending and lying about the state of their abilities to maintain poe1 and work on poe2. seriously go kick rocks guys. no more support from me then. you would think that with all the money Tencent has, they would be able to work on both..BTW Tencent now owns 100% of GGG they are not just investors anymore...let that sink in.

I am not sure what is happening with GGG but not only PoE2 is taking a horrible direction but they cannot even keep a basic promise they gave with 3 delays for the majority of the people that think PoE1 is hoint to be the better game for the next 2 years. Very very very disappointing. How are you not ashamed that you promised all poe1 players that have funded the project of poe2 that you will keep poe1 alive? Now we have to wait for 1 year for you to make a league i poe1 so yoy can focus of the horrible endgame that was created for poe2? Where is chris honestly? Can't believe the a lot of people in this thread. What do you think happened? They chose to leave poe1? They are trying guys. To launch a new game takes a lot, they tried to maintain both and werent able to, so to keep their 2nd game from dying out before it even began they threw everything they had at it. Poe1 is still good and they are coming back when poe2 isnt so bad off. Give them time, have patience. They are doing what they can and once things become stable everything will be good on both games.

Even more sad fact: any PoE1 league will be bare ones at best. They do not want to spend any resources on PoE1. Their (stupid) bet seems to be that ypoe2 is just superior in the end and they can finally get rid of Jonathan's unwanted step child - PoE1.
I highly doubt that 0.2 for poe2 will bring any additional resources for PoE1 development. There will be more crap to fix, patch and balance. In the end they do not have enough devs to cover both games and today's vidro clearly communicated their priorities. Poe2 make or break. So fucking sad. |

This is honestly pretty fucking ridiculous at this point. So were looking at close to a year long league im really regretting all the packs ive gotten over the years now first poe 2 wouldnt effect poe 1 then of maybe a little 4 month leagues then well shit you guys dont need any new content at all now right.
I would rather you just kill poe 1 at this point so i can move on to something else. I dont think its possible to "fix" poe 2 enough to even get it to a playable state for me so its poe 1 or bust really. |

Please bring Full Auction House to PoE 2 so I can give a second chance.
Trade process is terrible and it was the reason I permanently quit PoE 1. I stopped playing PoE 2 because of this terrible heritage. Please, FULL AH. Thanks! |

This is sad indeed.
Said they would support both... Can't support EITHER. Did not expect this at all... All the interviews they laughed it off because they have two completely different teams. Well that was all bullshit. IGN: VistaChris Last edited by VistaChris#6285 on Jan 29, 2025, 10:32:11 PM

Going to be blunt on this.
I understand where this is going, but ultimately, being able to support 2 games seems to be unsustainable in the long term. Eventually, PoE 1 is going to go away. I think the only real way in the LONG term to support this, is as POE 1 dies, it may be time to go back to the ORIGINAL vision. Remember the idea of POE 1 and POE 2 having a shared endgame? Once POE 2 hits full release, it may be wise to reimagine POE 1 as a 6 Act story unto itself with a shared endgame for POE 2. It would allow POE 1 to get a graphics and engine update, more classes in POE 1, reimagined boss fights on the scale of complexity of POE 2, etc. That likely isn't what people want to hear. But as the player base dwindles, that seems to be what it would take to revive POE 1. Then, at least, players can choose which storyline to complete to get to endgame, which would dull some of the issues of having to keep doing the same campaign. |

So, all those POE1 players who did not purchase POE2 EA are left in the dust.
