A Message to Path of Exile 1 Players

While I am dissapointed that the Settlers League has been so long, let me break this down for other people who do not share the same viewpoint I do, please note I am using a keyboard plugged into a hubon my phone to type this, so there will be gramatical errors. (My laptop is currently not usable).

Anyway, right now this is a opportunity for people to still enjoy settlers as well as maybe start playing Standard as well. I myself have over 30 characters, and I try to make use of the situation the best I can. Part of me is sad, because I am very very invested in to this game/ggg and I just would like to see some new content.

At the same time, over the years I have started to play standard after I obtain my challenges on league because after the league ends they go to standard anyway.

I realize some people don't like standard, but I look at POE like it's a giant sandbox. I can farm any content I want, I can change what type of content at any time, the possibilities are so huge.

I hope this situation brings more light to the team so that we don't have to have an apology video to the community every 6 months. I understand POE 2 has changed alot of things, it has brought tons of new people to both POE1 and POE2 and that Is a good thing for our community here. But I want to stress this point that people like me who have been around for five years or more, we also hold value here so please don't forget aboutus.

I am very happy that you guys decided to atleast make a video about this because even though I Kinda knew what was going on (from being around long enough) it is nice to see Johnathan addressing the community, I know GGG cares about us and that's why I am so invested in this game. I only play really a few games. Because of my financial situation it's more effective for me to be lazer focused on one game. I don't have a console, haven't had one since I wasa teenager. D2 then D3, then POE since 2019. Some league of legends,. Overwatch, etc. but I love POE.

Please learn a lesson from Blizzard, right now GGG has the potential to truly be on the top o the market with ARPG's. You guys are also part of the OG Diablo 2 crew, do not forget your values, do not forget why you made these games and we as supporters who have spent thousands, will continue to support.

TLDR : Not happy there is no new content around the corner, however I am happy to see that Johnathan is addressing us, the transparency is what keeps my faith in this company.

poe2 isn't ready it's a Ea Demo at this point. The end game content isn't there to keep the veteran playerbase.


also the portals and maps thing is just like oh okay. I can live without movement skills but seriously something needs to change because the end game is dead.


Also I'll say I am really sad that poe 1 isn't getting an expansion yet, I feel betrayed.

0.2.0 patch when?
Crafting added to the game when?
Balance fixed when?

Everything is not ok, lets cry!

PoE2 Acceptance Phases:

stage 1. Denial.
GGG just left for the holidays, come back and start working.

stage 2. Anger.
You don't understand anything! This is Early Access only, it's not a full game yet.

stage 3. Auction.
We just have to wait for the announcement, we'll wait and GGG will start doing something!

stage 4. Depression.

I've been playing since December 2012, and I love PoE. But yes, it's time to move on. I'm very interested in the story and seeing why the World is now destroyed and the "beast" seems to be scattered all over. I'm also far more comfortable playing with WSAD then point and click.

Also, PoE 2 news should be posted on the PoE 2 website.
I dislike that PoE 1's website has been overtaken by PoE 2 news.

I've been playing PoE 1 since closed beta,
it feels like PoE 2 is taking over and wiping out PoE 1.

PoE 1 is why I'm here, It's why I spend money on PoE.

Congratulations on bullshitting your player base.

YOU took the people who made your game great for the last decade and tossed them in the garbage for something that is nowhere near finished. Weve been your beta testers for a very long time now and i think alot of us are fed up with the horseshit.

If there's one thing that GGG has truly become like Blizzard, it's how the forums are brimming with egotistical maniacs who believe they speak for every PoE1 player, and feel BETRAYED by the absence of the new league. Not to mention they conveniently "forget" that PoE1 is entirely playable, with servers up and running, a bustling economy, all that jazz.

Reading through the tears and gnashing of teeth, you'd think PoE1 was shut down and your cosmetics were burned in a digital dump fire.

Are you guys truly unable to express your discontent without resorting to such grandiloquent displays of frustration?
