Given how poor a state the PoE2 endgame is in, those resources aren't getting back to PoE1 any time soon, as the endgame needs a complete overhaul to remove/rework a lot of the randomness, bad maps etc. and give players agency, instead of the 'masochism machine' that we have now.

This is really unfortunate. I feel like PoE2 has broken my love for PoE. Maybe it is time to move on.

if something better looking makes you question the love for a game you have you might aswell never game again because surprise time changes and games will evolve.

My humble response as a customer. I'll try to keep it sort:

- Lack of content, bugs and even delays are fully understandable. The problem is 95% of the content of the game's debut is recycled from PoE1 and boring ideas taken from other games who wanted to be a PoE1-killer and failed. Nothing new or innovative other than how the Atlas is navigated which is the aspect that may have the most potential if done right.
- Players are much slower in PoE2, monsters are not. Game is as repetitive as the previous one, but since you're so slow and clunky you're more conscious of how repetitive it is. No rewards and monsters spawning from everywhere and moving fast make the game about choosing your flavour of AoE and try to dish it ASAP otherwise league mechanics feel impossible. Combat is not methodical or tactical it's the same but slow. Exanima is tactical, not this. That's why I prefer PoE1 over PoE2. It's not a formula that blends well with slow gameplay (that's why "survivor" games exist).
- Too many sus decisions against fun. Annoying enemies, lack of player agency (specially when crafting, it's obvious what the intention is), restrictive builds with more spoonfeeding and less freedom, imposition of unpopular mechanics (Sanctum & Ultimatum) and making it impossible to change ascendancy. These are the things that bother me. Missing deadlines or lack of content are not such a big deal, but seeing these decisions I don't see PoE2 getting better. More content, sure, but not better.
- If I knew what I know now, I wouldn't have returned to PoE nor I would have bought a supporter pack. What looked like a great deal was to buy points that could be used in PoE2 if I liked it or PoE1 if I didn't and getting at least a couple of runs for the money if a new PoE1 league got out. Playing the initial PoE1 back when it was 3 acts was quite the experience and I played until it got too bloated and unlucky for me. PoE2 was far from that experience. It was closer to Wolcen, including the people yelling at customer feedback for whatever reason.

Well, PoE2 is brand new, so it’s kind of expected. Also, you have to take into account that the drop percentage (actually PoE2 is going down a bit faster % vs Settlers) in players is similar to what PoE1 experience in this amount of time ( For instance. And how many of those players will be returning to PoE2 in the coming months? Additionally, how many are staying on PoE2 because of the lack of content in PoE1?

PoE2 should NOT have been released for another year imo

I start to agree that the poe2 state is shit. So get the season for POE1 and then sit and fix the shit in poe2. In the end ,POE2 is an early access test environment.

Both poe 1 and poe 2 gives me thousands of hours of enjoyable playtime. Devs, thank you for all hard work. Dont forget about resting (becouse how can anybody being constantly tired make a good game?) and take all time you need to do proper work. I have so many other games to play and will wait for updates as long as it takes.
The thing that shocks me the most is the response of community. How can you be so toxic to somebody who really tries hard and honestly answers about all difficulties? -_-"
