It's called being a spoiled man child heavily addicted to dopamine.

One major reason why people complain so much about PoE 2 is because you have to actually think to be good at the game, you do not get huge dopamine spikes just from playing, you have to earn them, and even then depending on the outcome, you might or might not get a dopamine spike at all.

Modern games are designed to be addictive in every possible way, while PoE 2 was designed as a game that heavily punishes your mistakes, but also rewards you for playing correctly.

It becomes even more clear once you start playing on HC, the game does not reward you with dopamine spikes at every turn constantly, like Diablo 4 does for example, where loot rains from the sky and it takes 30 seconds for all items to drop from a single Whispers cache. You have to earn everything, fight smart, position yourself, plan ahead, don't walk up to melee range of huge monsters that deal heavy physical damage, all of these lessons you learn while playing, however these people do not want that, they do not want to grow. They just want to "ZOOM".

Reading almost 30 pages of replies makes it clear and apparent that 95% of complaints come from people who only play games to constantly ride on dopamine spikes (like junkies), instead of actually playing to be a better player overall. Like you know have goals to accomplish, things to improve, knowledge and skill to gain, concepts that are largely being cast away in place of this new way to play games, presented to the masses.

Doesn't matter what it is, how it plays and what you do and how you do it. As long as you "have fun" i.e. ride on dopamine spikes to get even more addicted.

Fun became such a subjective concept that it can no longer be defined by those who preach for it. Like ask all these people crying in here, what it actually means for them to have fun? I bet all my years salary that 99% of them won't be even able to give a clear and concise answer.

Just look what happens to actual, functioning adults (I presume) when they learn they will not get "NEW STUFF" in their "FAV GAME" in a timeframe that seems acceptable to them. (When in reality it's not even them making the decisions, it's the addiction). Just look how fast all sanity and decency disappears.

I can't even imagine how hard it must be on the dev team reading all these spoiled, man children junkies acting like the world is ending, because they will have to wait a few more months for a league in their favourite game..

I love PoE 2, I cannot be thankful enough that there is a company on the planet who is still not afraid to make genre defining decisions and very risky choices in their games. And I know that the team will not stop, working hard to make PoE 2 the best aRPG ever made while maintaning PoE 1 for those who prefer that game (and for those who will play both, like me :).

GGG you guys can do it! It's gonna be a great time once you guys manage to solve the issues with the team and get on track with releasing leagues for both games on a schedule. You'll all look behind and realize that all that hard work has payed off!

I'm new to Poe2 do what ya'll got to do to keep this amazing game up

I would like to express my complete dissatisfaction with the stance taken by GGG regarding the promises made and not kept with respect to poe1.

The lack of transparency and clear communication about the future plans for the next league is frustrating for the player community, who, over time, believed in the promises made. Moreover, the delay, show that the company is not committed to the user experience, leaving players discouraged and, in many cases, disappointed.

What seemed like a promising and exciting wait for the next league 3.26, has turned into a series of disappointments, and the feeling that we are being disrespected as consumers is palpable. The expectations created by the promises are not reflected in the reality of the game, and as a player, I feel that I deserve more than simply waiting for something that never arrives.

I would like GGG to reconsider its approach, fulfill the commitments made, and at least offer an honest clarification about what is truly planned for the future of the game. It’s not just about playing, but about trusting the company that develops the product and respecting its consumers.

The development of PoE2 will not affect the development of PoE1 in any way. They are handled by different teams

I'm very disappointed with lies sold to us earlier. Especially while PoE2 isn't remotely as fun as PoE1. And it won't be, design choices made at the conception wont't allow it.

It would be a sad farewell after playing this game for a decade. Glad me and my wife pushed for 40 challenges together for the last time, it was fun while it lasted.

Not entirely surprised by still disappointed at being blatantly lied to. Breaking promises is one thing, stating things that obviously aren't true ("separate teams") are another.

Also it's been 2 months and support still isn't replying to my emails regarding account details.

I love POE1 and 2 but im really starting to despise part of this community which I know is just a vocal minority.

100-150k players on poe2 not complaining, enjoying the game and understanding the world does not revolve around them. So while you (crybabies) think you represent the majority, you don’t. You are delusional and a cancer in this community.
