Biggest mistake was releasing PoE2 at this time at all, the much better option would have been to delay it by a few months in November, not 3 week, people would not have liked it/would have been mad, but in hindsight having PoE1 in January/February would have been infinitely better then no PoE1 and a half done half empty PoE2.
You took a huge risk on releasing something new and untested, in the process sacrificing the well known and good PoE1. Not sure how PoE2 is viewed by the new and casual players, but for PoE1 veterans apart from the excellent campaign, which always was and should still be a tutorial, it's not good, empty, devoid of content and repeatability with underdeveloped systems and content (endgame/maps/waystones). Personally i enjoyed PoE2 more than i expected, but the high from "shiny and new" was very short lived and the lows now are abysmal, even more so with no PoE1. |

" several of my friends have bought almost all, if not all the $500+ packs since release, with more inbetween, and have zero intention of playing poe2. we're talking over $10,000 in supporter packs. PER PERSON. i think they have a right to be "entitled", given they literally pay the bills, and that is just the ones i personally know. |

poe2 will have a shared endgame
poe2 will fix melee poe2 development wont affect poe1 poe2 development takes priority over 3.26 <- you are here poe2 development takes priority poe2 | |

It's so funny to see grown men crying over a video game.
You spend money on the game. And you played the game. You probably got one of the best deals in the gaming industry when looking at how much you spent and how many hours you played. You paid for the present, not the future. It's evident that 99% of people here have no clue how software development works. It's basically impossible to do precise timelines for new projects. You can't predict all the shit that will go wrong and all the shit that is much harder to implement than expected. And anyone talking about how PoE 2 is dying is a moron. Concurrent player numbers after two months in PoE 2 are similar to the best day 1 peak in PoE 1. Get fucking real people. You are not important because you spent money. Over a million other people also spent money, and they spent it on PoE 2, not PoE 1. But the most funny thing is that all these crybabies will be back with money in their mouths as soon as the new PoE 1 league comes up. No matter what they said before. I wish developers smooth sailing from now on so we can have a constant flow of new content for either of the games. Please don't listen to idiots who have nothing else in their lives besides playing the same game for 12 years. |

Don't fool us around. No excuse.

" That's not quite right. At the time it was claimed that it would be an extension of POE 1 and that all packs could be included. Now they say it's a stand-alone game. Some people have bought additional support packs in the belief that they can continue to use them. For me this is simply fraud and a lie to the community for months. GGG should actually be sued for this. |
