[SOLUTION] FIX FOUND FOR THE DEGRADING FPS & STUTTER OVER TIME!
This thing has pasted me since 7th of January. I've had to clear the %AppData%-cache and restart the game every few hours. Sometimes it happens more often even. This has pested AMD CPU (3950X) + nVidia (4080) systems at least.
Now another solution has occurred, which is also the key for GGG to solving this permanently. Just type /clear FPS 47 in base pre-/clear FPS 120 (capped on 4k) post-/clear The best music you've never heard; also free to use on your projects! https://www.youtube.com/@NeverheardTunes 🎶😎🌞 Last bumped on Feb 3, 2025, 9:09:56 AM

just change the global chat to any other, for example 123

I think I rather close the global chat as it seems to be the source of this issue...

Look for PRIMO CACHE and set up a cache on C: if you have 32GB memory.
That´s what improved POE2 stutter. Even Savannah is playable at 50+ FPS.. this crap Map.. Steppe, Oasis, Grotto are a bit better too. |

What do you mean?
The FPS degradation that pests AMD CPUs wirh nVidia GPUs is solved by simply typing /clear No comedy. Just facts. The best music you've never heard; also free to use on your projects! https://www.youtube.com/@NeverheardTunes 🎶😎🌞

Command /clear is just clearing the global chat screen. There is no way this will fix anything life FPS drop or screen tearing xDDDD.

Oh but it does. On Global 42 -channel where I've been discussing this, MANY - me included, have seen instant difference.
From literally FPS meter (in game) measuring 47 FPS after degradation (standing still in hideout) -> /clear -> back to 120 FPS (capped). It's related to poor use of memory; this issue: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Xx-NcqmveDc The best music you've never heard; also free to use on your projects! https://www.youtube.com/@NeverheardTunes 🎶😎🌞 Last edited by nocebo#2432 on Jan 29, 2025, 4:46:34 PM

" Yes, in game /clear It's absolutely surreal, but just try it and you'll notice there's no need to clear the %AppData%-cache. Actually it was just related to restarting the game and purging the memory in the first place. If GGG devs happen to notice this - one good solution is to build a circular buffer to circumvent this issue. Here's the technical link what's likely causing this: [Removed by Support] The best music you've never heard; also free to use on your projects! https://www.youtube.com/@NeverheardTunes 🎶😎🌞 Last edited by ThomasK_GGG#0000 on Jan 29, 2025, 5:35:30 PM

" Then you don't have the same issue at all. Your FPS doesn't degrade over time. The degrading FPS issue is one where you can see a clear "slow down" and FPS drop when you open chat. The same issue also keeps degrading your FPS to lower and lower values when you just keep the game open and play it (if you had chat open, which was now found to be the reason). Open the stat graphs and you see massive peak when the FPS has degraded enough (=I presume GPU VRAM is filled and requires massive amount of updates which takes time) /clear solves it 100%.
