The problem is since crafting is so completely random and the currency drop rates dont support some of the more casual players they will be tempted to RMTs. Picture you are a casual evening player that cant play 12h a day, you cant craft your gear yourself because it is totally random and you cant farm enough currency to get the super blaster build from youtube. There will be a strong draw to RMT.
Wording, wording. What you mean to say is "relies more on RNG than some players find palatable", which is very different to "completely" and "totally" random. Definitely also room to say "new players need to be taught all the vendoring/crafting options in endgame" as well as "we just need more crafting systems too".
I also question your definition of 'casual player' if they are digging up a "super blaster build" from YouTube. If a player is competitive enough to want to follow lean builds that maximise in-game wealth, they're going to find out all the little tricks to get there fast. A casual player just wants to have a good time for a modest investment of playtime with a self-invented build that's likely to be sloppy. The question is: what's a reasonable "good time" for a casual player to aim for? PoE has always needed some competitive min/max mentality to reach the pinnacle content.

Casual players always go lookup the build because they dont have time to craft a build on their own which is very difficult. When they have trouble with the game, they will look for the easy solution. Most dont play, as I do, SSF.

Yes, they will be nerfed next league and other classes\ builds will be meta or good\ strong league-starters. I will ask once again, what is new for you? For Path of Exile? We did this 12 years strait and will do another 12 years. The only question - ur goals of ur playtime. As for me, the marks are the same all over the time: get as much profits as I can. Clear all ubers optional (personaly, I don't like bossing, cuz I suck at arcade)
Unless they do what they should do, which is remove all triggered skills. In which case you will have to learn how to play without the "I Win" button.

better remove all the skills and let us all fight with unnefficient weak ass build i'm sure we will have a lot of fun. There's alrdy a decent amount of viable build (it's all relativ it's EA) and it's not rocket science to make one even more if you played poe1 or any arpg for that matter.
And believe it or not youtube is not mandatory.

If they're having trouble once they hit maps, I regard that as beyond casual: the middle ground between casual ("I finished the story, I had fun") and the competitive. Anyway, we're arguing semantics. You have a valid point that there'll be wannabe-competitive players who get tempted as there's a lack of control in crafting.
