PoE 1 Appreciation thread. Reply with one thing that made you fall in love with it.
since poe 2 is so slow in the moment to moment.
i ll pick the moment to moment gameplay. i like the speed, even without the boots on the beach or later on with onslaught and 30% ms. killing mobs is fun. love the graphic design. the pleasure of attacking etc. bosses have maybe one or two mechanic only but it s enough to make good encounters. especially first acts. they "jump" on you and are not kidding. it snot some slow manga shit where like the new beyond bosses where they are big but slow as hell. At some point you take your time to think about your build and it s interesting and since you didnt lose your patience on some asine gameplay it feels way better to take your time to fix it. i could add the overall crazyness ggg came with from a design and technical standpoint. mob density, crazy zoomyness, visual effects. that s a thing ggg can be proud of and that wasnt in d2. " I wholeheartedly agree. For me PoE1 is the ultimate sandbox ARPG. It's just never boring to try out another crazy combination to see if it will work or not, or experiment with your other builds. |

I appreciate that POE 2 was made out of POE 1 and I appreciate POE 1 should be shut down sooner rather than later.

Path 1 is great when you have a sandbox game mentality as a player. Plus there's always something new to learn.

Easy; the depth and freedom of character creation/customization.
Some people will do their best to downplay this, because "only META blablabla", but it is of course pure BS in the current iteration of the game. PoE 1 is by far my most played and most loved game of all time and half a year without a league/fresh economy just highlights how much I like the game. I've said this before; I think the PoE 3.26 numbers will surprise a lot of people. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

The insane number of mechanics combinations that you can use to make a character. A big example is strength stackers using Iron Fortress + Crown of Eyes + Iron Will.
The fact that you can take a simple concept and push it to the limit while combining multiple mechanincs and systems to power up is one of the most insane things I've seen in games. And the fact that there is support to do this is even better, they have the option to completely nerf the interactions but it is encouraged, that is what I love. |

Delve and Simulacrums <3
Unfortunately Delve does not exist in POE2 and there is so much wrong with Simulacrums in POE2. |

" Unfortunately Delve does existe in PoE2. It is the new Atlas Design, infinite Delve Atlas |

the aesthetics. PoE2 has improved on this 1000%, going back to PoE will feel so bad I don't want to do it.
