My account was banned instead of just a chat ban. Why does the ban system work like this?
" Sure it could be, but we can just look at how people have been banned for things like just saying 1 letter meanwhile rmt advertisers can roam free is a pretty solid indication they don’t have an LLM in the backend. People are saying messages where it is usually safe only to get banned because a few people reported them. Also it’s pretty subjective regards to ‘simplicity’ of chat moderation vs market. Market doesn’t have as many edge cases than when it comes to intent vs humor in chat. |

" Yes, you are right. And that’s what’s most upsetting. Honest players, who made a single mistake, apologized to the company, and showed remorse for their actions, are forced to sit in indefinite bans, endlessly waiting for responses from customer support. Meanwhile, actual violators roam freely, playing the game and doing whatever they please. |

I’d also like to respond to everyone accusing me of engaging in RMT. Guys, I honestly don’t understand you. If I were actually involved in RMT, why would I bother writing posts on forums and sending emails asking to be unbanned?
I would do what any other trader would do—just create a new account and move on. Spending $13 or $30 wouldn’t be an issue. Especially since, even though I played 115 hours in 2.5 weeks, I’m confident that any moderately experienced POE player could level up to the same point in just 20-30 hours. But no, I’m a fair gamer who genuinely enjoyed the game and simply wants to keep playing. And of course, I won’t be using the chat anymore. |

I submitted a refund request about 12 hours ago, and about 6 hours later, I received a response from support. They mentioned that if I apologize for the inappropriate joke I made, I could potentially get unblocked after the 3+ week restriction period I've now suffered. So, there's that.
However, I'm still not out of the woods. I had to reply to their email with an apology, but I'm unsure if this means I’ll have to wait another 3+ weeks for them to review it and decide whether to unblock me. At least I got a response, which is something, but it's still up in the air. For anyone else in a similar situation, good luck! I had pretty much given up hope, so I hope you don't reach that point too. Guess you have to show them you mean it before they do anything about it Last edited by FixYourSupport#1211 on Jan 17, 2025, 1:23:42 AM

" Congratulations on finally receiving a response! Of course, I can’t help but point out that waiting 3 weeks for a reply sounds awful. I can’t imagine how, in 2025, people are still forced to wait 3 weeks just to get a response from technical support. Here, I have to bring up Apple as an example again—they respond to any user requests within a single day. Meanwhile, I’ve been waiting for 4 days, enduring mockery and accusations from other users, and receiving standard replies from forum staff saying they’ll respond as soon as they can. Please let me know if you receive any additional response from support or if your account gets unblocked. |

It’s been 7 days, and I haven’t received a response from anyone.
I’ve started reaching out to various media outlets in the US, Australia, and New Zealand regarding the situation with delayed responses to users. |

" Yes, it's the same story. On the first day after the ban, I felt strange sensations, but mostly positive ones, as it was my first 24-hour ban in 20 years. But now, a week has passed, and I'm not laughing anymore. |
