Sadly I agree with you. It doesn't even matter that POE1 is a better game. (if you value complexity and replayability). Tencent is simply making a business decision. They could literally shut down POE1 servers today and I wouldn't be surprised. This is no longer a passion project from an indie studio, but a massive corporation looking for returns on their investment.

Dont be mad. You are still free to say whatever you want (within the ToS of course) I encourage it, in fact.
You are also free to disagree with me.
I play both games, but right now, PoE sim city league is dead and PoE2 is more enjoyable (for me).

They didn’t abandon PoE1 a big release came out and then a Major US holiday occurred.
The big title has issues that need resolved. PoE 1 is functional.
Once PoE2 is polished they’ll be better suited to handle both leagues. You’ll have a new league probably in march or sometime shortly after.
It might be a dog water one til things settle down though I wouldn’t get your hopes up. Things should smooth way out after PoE2 officially releases and enters league mode.
You’ll might only get 1-2 leagues for PoE1 this year and that’s perfectly fine tbh it’s a wet dream for me personally.
In the meantime relax find a game you enjoy playing and come back in a few months.
i find it very disturbing to be told that we should be more patient as we already were... remember we are 6 months into settlers. Last year were only 2 of normally 4 leagues.

Yes small studios do shift their priorities when the Suits up top are looking for easy short-term cash ... this community should have took Blizzard as a cautionary tale instead of a running joke .
