What part wait doesn’t this community understand.

They didn’t abandon PoE1 a big release came out and then a Major US holiday occurred.

The big title has issues that need resolved. PoE 1 is functional.

Once PoE2 is polished they’ll be better suited to handle both leagues. You’ll have a new league probably in march or sometime shortly after.

It might be a dog water one til things settle down though I wouldn’t get your hopes up. Things should smooth way out after PoE2 officially releases and enters league mode.

You’ll might only get 1-2 leagues for PoE1 this year and that’s perfectly fine tbh it’s a wet dream for me personally.

In the meantime relax find a game you enjoy playing and come back in a few months.

what i DO understand is i wont spent another dime on this company anymore ;-)

a lot of the outrage is because a lot of poe1 enjoyers tend to also be temp league enjoyers.

those on poe1 who are standard enjoyers dont really need to care at all.

tho those who are temp league enjoyers are seeing a dessert of nothingness.

to them its as tho GGG just decided to show their true colours and abandon POE1.

its quite ironic tho as many of the temp league enjoyers always seem to believe that temp leagues are the main focus of the game.

it has always been an added feature.

poe1 has not been abandoned. it just they dont have the time to add in a new temp league.

temp league players are the vast majority of players, it is not just an added feature. it is what keeps the game alive in the first place. GGG would be bankrupt just running standard by operational cost alone.

not clarifying whats coming up and particularly when for their main player base is just terrible decision making. They clearly lied when they said POE 2 wont affect POE 1 (just look at the poe 1 website - its littered with info about poe 2, nothing on poe 1) so i am actually disappointed in GGG. I was planning on buying the 450$ supporter pack, but i wont support any of whats currently going on. I will speak with my money.

you're not wrong to say its the vast majority of players now, nor youre not wrong when you say it keeps the game alive "now".

but if you think that temp league players were the ones keeping the game alive when poe first started its very likely you are mistaken.

most people who supported poe1 during its early years came from games like diablo2. in diablo2, some of the uniques take players literal YEARS to drop. standard is the only "league" players ever knew and temp leagues was something ggg introduced later down the pipeline.

the ones who supported GGG were standard players. heck my name is in poe1 credits.
