Trial of Sekhema 4th Trial Boss NEEDS to be looked at

People need to start logging out when they see they can't get the orbs. You'll have to start the fight over but if you have the honor its fine.

It never fails that whenever someone complains or cries for help on something because they get frustrated on not beating a boss or get killed by a mob, etc. there will always, always, be someone who will come and tell you something like, "it's easy, you just need to get better".

It's automatic.

Junkies can't say no to cheap dopamine.

It is the same as hopting for an op build to avoid seeing parts of the game you don't like. I would prefer engaging with fair and fun mehanics than cheezing my way through.
I think it is an issue serious enough to be adress at its core even if the log out option is here, it won't help GGG think of better designs. you logout and pass, no feedback and things stay the same or worse the same mecaanichs is reuse elsewhere until all the game become a logout fest...
The orb mechanic requires the prior knowledge that it slows you down over time, but you receive some of your speed back every time you pick up an orb. That leads to the strategy of going for an isolated orb first when you have plenty of movement speed, a cluster of orbs second to speed you back up again after return trip from isolated orb, and then isolated orb last with the speed you just got from the cluster. After I started using that strategy I haven't failed it once, but before adopting that strategy I only succeeded at random.

Of course there is no way someone going into the fight blind could have all the knowledge and strategy the mechanic requires, which would be fine in a typical boss fight that allows you to learn by failing, but very frustrating in something that requires a lengthy Sanctum run to try again. This sort of punishment for lack of knowledge pushes people towards Googling the fights beforehand.

This is the furthest thing from "fine".
The entire process of having a lazy one-size-fits-all "ascendancy" trial doesn't make sense in the first place. It's simply lazy development.

All ascendancies should be different for each and every class and focus on the strengths of that ascendancy. Period. Full stop.

If they aren't then they should be removed as a gate to progression for ascendancy points.

After all, a witch shouldn't have to do the same trial as a warrior or a monk. Completely different classes. Especially if the witch is trying to become a necromancer and the warrior is trying to become a Titan. COMPLETELY different playstyles and need to be tested in TOTALLY different ways.

Yeah it feels pretty awful to go through the grueling slog that is the rest of the trial, finally make it to the final boss, have enough defence and damage to be able to kill the boss, and then instantly die because you were 0.2 seconds too slow to touch a glowy thing. Immense waste of time.

Apart from the problem this poses to anyone going into the fight blind, if you are a strength user, and are wearing body armour, that gives a move speed penalty. Also using a shield? Probably, since armour as a defensive stat is completely worthless and block is all you really have to go to. Well guess what your strength shield penalises your move speed even more. Instantly because you are a strength based build you are at a significant disadvantage.

So you get to the final boss and you are a strength build, do you take your shield and body armour off to have a better chance at beating the fight? Well, probably yeah.. You are more likely to die to the unavoidable instakill than to any other mechanic, so defences aren't really going to help you as much as being able to move faster.

This seems like pretty awful design. Not to mention if you get the Worn Sandals affliction (25% reduced movement speed), you are completely screwed. Your run is essentially over unless you can luck into removing it, I don't think it is remotely possible to beat the final boss (at least as a warrior) with this affliction (unless you can one shot it which devs have said is not something they want to be possible).

No single affliction should really be able to automatically end your run. You might say well just make sure you don't get that affliction. Sure, but you are sometimes forced into situations by the RNG of the trial that result in random afflictions, or not being able to see afflictions.

Worn Sandals also just makes the entirety of the run even more of a slog than it already is. Being forced to just move in slow motion the whole run is not fun, is not an interesting mechanic to deal with and overcome (especially as there is not really any counterplay available), further punishes classes/builds that are already for some reason punished with movement penalties, and then icing on the cake you can now no longer defeat the last boss unless you can one shot it.
i can understand the frustration but once you are aware of the mechanic you can get the speed boon constantly (+merchant relic) and you will catch the orbs in time.

there's a few affliction that can brick a run but not that much and it is very rare that you have only these one as a choice (with a minimum attention to the futur intersection that you can reveal with relic or boon, i dont feel it necessary tbh but it can help. I go full merchant choice first merchant i always got +50%water +Speed, run win.)
