PoE 2 Latency Spikes?
Entered maps today, sudden lag spike turned complete disconnection from server and latency climbed to the tens of thousands. Exited game, logged back in, my lvl71 hardcore character was now downgraded to softcore.
My hunch is that the server kept processing gameplay while my client was completely disconnected and some mob killed me all the while nothing was happening on my screen. Note that at the time of disconnect I was not in a dangerous situation either, some mob must have crawled from outside the screen while the client was unresponsive. Also, before exiting game I tried to exit to character select multiple times but it had no effect at all. Obviously very disappointed by this and not very excited to start a new hardcore run after this. I play hardcore exclusively too, so continuing on softcore doesn't appeal to me either. I'm sure I'll be back eventually since I absolutely love PoE2 but I can't say if I'm going to return for this league. I understand that this can happen and to be fair it's the first time I've encountered this on 500 total hours of gameplay, but leaving a bug report comment anyway. |

Just tried to set networking_type to lockstep, logged in, on HO
latency fixed to 3ms and also frame rate steady at 100fps (never happened). Opened a map, crossed the portal, game unplayable with same old latency spikes, logged off. At the same just for the sake of troubleshooting i’ve run an MTR to Poe2 server where i was connected, stable ping, no PL, jitter under 1ms so no network issue…. |

I tryed nearly everything to reduce the spikes, but nothing worked for my new PC with 500MB/S. Other games a running perfectly. Please solve the issue with lags.

Same here, am on ps5, tried changing the dns server frm 8.8.8.8 to 1.1.1.1 mtu settings different router and even diff isp's tried diff games and they all run smooth as also had a few friends open thier options at the same time and we watched via discord and there all experiencing the same spikes on the network side, some of them it was almost unnoticeable so they didn't even know it was going on but on the settings menu where u can see the ping n so on it was evident on all our connections, so this seems to be a server side issue, cmon it's been days non stop clearly something wrong in the network scripting so pls fix this

worst is GGG doesnt acnowlegde this. its just being ignored.
there are countless reports over the last month of eu server issues, including latency spikes and rollbacks. rendering players unable to play the game. they clearly have other priorities than the game being playable, maybe if Ziz has lags this will cause them to care? |

This is a WIRELESS networking fix to a problem that exists for people for different reasons. Some people are experiencing regional lag spikes where switching servers is a workaround. Others are experiencing lag spikes caused by their crappy wireless. This is 2 different problems. This will not solve the problem people have that are not wireless. This is only a POTENTIAL and not even a guaranteed fix for wireless players. If this works for you, it's likely because your wireless signal had interference in your home on whatever channel it was on and switching it solved your problem. Switching this option in no way changes the games behavior. It only changes the way your PC as a whole communicates with your home network.
For the people experiencing it that are hard wired, this is not the cause and therefore not the solution to your issue. |

Side-by-side ping www.pathofexile.com -t and latency ingame. Happens on pretty much any realm for most of the day today.

actually unplayable for some day now.
Latency spikes between 30 - above 1000 ms. Couldn't try the new loot patch. Too bad :( |
