The story of how I solved the issue with the drop chances

It might seem like complaining, but in reality, I encountered a very rare, strange bug. I couldn’t find any mention of it on the forums or Reddit. After completing the campaign, I started suspecting that something was wrong with the number of runes I received - specifically, I got only 1 rune. Had I not been watching streams, I wouldn’t have realized this. When I reached the T3 maps, I understood that the issue was truly beyond simple bad luck and probability theory. At that point, I had played about 60-70 hours and had only received 1 Exalted Orb, around 10-15 Augmentation Orbs, and most of the Regal Orbs came from Disenchanting. I can’t even say how many of those dropped. Transmutation Orbs mostly came from Disenchanting as well, and I got one Vaal Orb. That was basically it.
I contacted support about this on December 17th through the website, but got no response. I posted in the in-game 20 global chat, but nobody mentioned encountering a similar issue, and some didn’t believe such a thing was even possible. I wrote again to support on December 20th via email, but still no reply (up to and including December 31). I started to doubt that this could be real - after all, something was dropping, just very rarely. Maybe I was doing something wrong. "I just now noticed the 'Support Email Response Delays' topic. The developers warned that there would be delays in responses, and there's no need to rush. I was too quick with my second email, but it's too late now." Eventually, I decided to level a new character (I had been playing through the Stand-alone client the whole time). I completed Act 1 on normal difficulty and got another rune and an 1 Exalted Orb from the Ritual Altar, but that was pretty much it. I started Act 2, then reinstalled the game. When I reached the beginning of Act 3, I decided to try playing through Steam. I ran around the Sandswept Marsh of Act 3 for about 7 times to double elite, and ultimately, feeling completely disappointed, I tried one last option that came to mind, since nothing I had done before worked. I thought that maybe it was because I bought the game on Steam but played on my old POE account from 2012, but that was just speculation. The last chance was to buy the game again on a new Steam account, and to my amazement, after playing for just 2 hours, I already had 4 runes, 10+ Augmentation Orbs, and so on. The difference was significant and noticeable almost immediately. Upon completing Act 1, I have 9 runes, 2 Orb of Alchemy, 2 Regal Orbs, 1 Exalted Orb, 10 Augmentation Orbs, and 4 Transmutation Orbs (I used the Regal, Augmentation, and Transmutation Orbs for crafting, so these are not the exact amounts of what I got from drops)  Overall, this is a huge difference compared to what I received on my previous account, and I can confidently say that it wasn’t just bad luck. This is not a joke or a prank. I still find it hard to believe that this happened to me, especially since I haven’t found anyone else with this issue. But maybe someone reading this will realize they’ve encountered the same problem and didn’t even know it was a bug.It’s unfortunate that I lost some stash tabs from my main account, but honestly, even though that’s a setback, I’m still happy that I managed to solve the problem. I barely believed it would be when I bought the game for a second time. Probably in 2025 my email will finally be read, and I will get a response explaining why this happened. Have you tried farming the bosses during the campaign? I'd suggest you go back to your main account and try that. Equip some magic find on a lvl 5 character, and farm the Clearfell witch. You'll drown in uniques/rares and some exalts. They hardly drop from normal mobs. Only rare mobs have somewhat decent chances of dropping them. The witch consistently drops regal shards, more often than not, uniques, and an exalt or two. Farm the bosses. |

A prime example of how hard it is to believe what I write. Yes, I tried farming the bosses, but without much enthusiasm, because after completing the 6 acts, I still haven't fully realized that I'm getting very little currency. But according to you, the fact that I reached T3 maps and got 2 runes in 70 hours doesn't seem strange? Apparently, no one has ever faced such a situation, and there’s no need to stack MF for that. And the fact that on my new account, the amount of loot I get in 4 hours differs by tens of times from what I get on my main account - is that just a coincidence?

Yes, because loot tables have nothing to do with accounts. They're the same for everyone. It's how it works.
1. How many maps did you run in those 70h? 2. What mods were on those maps? 3. How did you run these maps? 4. Are you aware rare monsters drop the most valuable stuff? Did you really farm the campaign bosses? Or you just killed them once and continued on never seeing them again? What does without much enthusiasm mean? You not playing? This is so absurd. Thinfoil absurd. |

1. I already said it's T3 maps, obviously around 30, but what's the point of continuing if you're not bothered by only 2 runes after all this time?
2. What mods can there be on 1-3 tier maps? They're the most basic blue maps. 3. I ran them, killing almost all the monsters on those maps. 4. As for valuable, no, i think it's more about rarity and quantity. I killed some of the campaign bosses about three times. "Without enthusiasm" means I didn’t kill the same campaign boss 100 times in a row. It seems like you're supposed to play in some special way to get currency. I've already come to a clear conclusion for myself, but you're just trying to refute it by building a theory that I supposedly did everything in the game except killing monsters, or I did it wrong. |

thats the worst part, noone wants to belive you. any post on reddit or here is just "rng go farm more" lol those people are delusional

" Loot tables may be the same for everyone, but you forgot about crucial difference. Loot tables are affected by "rarity found" in some way. I can see a world where some accounts have it "broken" for some reason, but there is no way for us to know. If what Klompas#6354 said is true (I have no reason to not believe him), there is a problem and it's not RNG. |

you may have been soft banned. If they detect suspicious behavior (such as botting) i would believe they can flag your account and massively lower drops.
This is more effective than a ban. This is a very strong possibility in my opinion, especially when a new account was different |
