maybe the least fun game ive ever played
i loved poe 1, played hundred of hours.
my disappointment with poe 2 is unfathomable. everything is so tedious, the build variety is so limited, the difficulty reeks of insecurity like 'if our game isnt hard we wont be taken seriously'. respawn enemies on death just wastes time nothing else. cant run past enemies to group because no movespeed or dash, enemies are faster than me, even 3 common enemies can kill not to mention staggering. cant get better gear from drops or shops, no crafting. builds are getting nerfed but so many skills are still unplayable bait. boss fights would be cool if getting one shot or swarmed by adds wasnt inevitable. the spirit system sucks being gated behind huge attribute reqs sucks network sucks dodge roll sucks the game sucks. i cant say enough bad things about this game and almost no good things(nice graphics and jiggle physics you frauds). and we dont even need to talk about the microshop but you couldve carried over guild tabs. tldr slow, unfun, low creativity, overcompensating difficulty Last bumped on Jan 2, 2025, 10:14:39 AM

Yep, the overcompensating difficulty part is so true. This game is just a chore, a boring, unfun one. |

Sorry to hear that you are not having fun with this game, but I completely do not agree.
I have the best fun in my whole gaming life. And I played a lot of ARPGs, but that game is closest to perfection from all of them. Maybe it is only me, but I feel much more rewarded and my dopamine kick is much greater, when I fight against the game, that from time to time stops me from progressing, and telling me that "you are just crapy player, you have to improve much to progress" or not every monster or quest is loot piniata as it is in PoE 1 or Diablo 4. This is still very early stage of the game, we don't have half of bioms, half of skills, half of monsters, bosses, and things are not tweaked, but still, I have 200+ hours now in this game and I just cannot stop playing it. |

In before the fanboys tell you it's a "skill issue" and blast you for trying to change their precious game they somehow get some kind of validation from by spending 30 hours preparing for the ascendancy only to fail it 4 times, but the 5th time they got lucky and are now going to tell everyone they can't play...
This is why the game will never change. I'm seriously considering going back to D4... I loved POE 1, but also hated it for the same reasons I hate POE 2 right now... they don't learn. Visit my Steam profile here: https://steamcommunity.com/id/TheBaconOverlord/

Prepare for elitist white knights. Or grey knights in that matter.

" Is PoE 2 on the market 7 years? Interesting... I do not love PoE 1. I played it like 500 hours over some time, but the problem for me is that endgame is too "unreal" I would say. Too fast, and drops is like pinata. Which I just hate. I talked about PoE 2, which is my dream-came-true game. And I was eligible for PoE 2 key, so I think I paid enough as for the PoE 1. :) And both PoE 2 and 1 are for sure much, much better games than D4. I wanted D4 to be good game. I played D1, D2, D3 and then D4. I have every single book from Diablo lore, but... it is just a disappointment. But going back to PoE 2 - it is just my opinion, and not saying that it is more valid than your. I have group of friends, some of them played PoE 1, some not, and we all having super fun (we barely play together, as our time slots free of work or family are rather different) in this game. So maybe PoE 2 is not a game for you guys? For me and my friends it is something that we didn't know that we are missing, and now we cannot just go back to any other ARPG. :) |

Valid reasons. I too enjoy PoE1 far more at the moment. Proper feedback might end up in actions that might change my mind but it will take them a long time. Until then I can enjoy PoE1 leagues and revisit PoE2 every now and then to check up on progress. If the game doesn't end up being my cup of tea that's fine as long as PoE1 still gets decent attention from GGG :)

I am bummed out that some issues in PoE1 seem to be magnified in PoE2.
