I feel like I’m working in African gold mines for $1 a month. (Drop issue)

I’ve played the game for over 190 hours, and during this time, I haven’t received a single usable item drop. The game doesn’t reward me for the time and effort I’ve invested, so I’m at the point of quitting due to the lack of motivation.

What class/build are you playing?

Why do you all have this absolutely MEANINGLESS question as your first option?

What does it matter what class he's playing?

The man is not getting drops and is feeling unrewarded for wasting his time on the game... tell me ONE THING that would make his class choice relevant on this issue...

Because this might be an issue related to his class. Or maybe there is a bugged class or skill that gives zero drops. Do you think this is enough reason?

I don't get any drop, and my friends get much more than me with a similar MF. Maybe my minions' kills are not granting loot. Or my exposion, I don't know.

Just make it forced SSF and get some data to fix looting.

+1

It would be a fair test ground.

The drop rates right now are a complete joke.

Crafting doesn't exist, is RNG gambling.

Lack of target drop for the classe we chose is an issue
Spoiler
(Hold your horses ALT friends)
it would be a toogle button at character creation - Toogle option for target drops to class, if you want to drop every possible base, just choose not to toogle the option.

Firstly, there is no connection between drop chance and classes, the most meaningless explanation I've ever seen. Also a lot of people are talking about the same problem, do you think everyone has a bug or a skill issue? The game is clearly stingy.
You are supposed to:

- stack item rarity as much as possible (it's a must have affix, currently)
- ID all rares and most blues, then slam-craft them
- use most of your gold for gambling (half of my gear is gambled, then slammed)
- check vendors (when in campaign)
- use the bench 3x1 to get another dice roll of the most important gear (weapon, jewelry)
- Alt & Aug white bases while in maps (I do this for weapons)

I feel that progression is kinda ok, if you do all this. I play SSF and my gear is probably not 'worth' anything in trade, but it gets the job done.

Item rarity is by far the most important stat. It's better to play blue T10 maps with lots of item rarity, rather than 'juiced' T15+ with no rarity. Less rippy, too.

Item rarity influences orb rarity, the tiered drops of rare items and even jeweler orb drops - so it's directly tied to character power. A complete regression of design since PoE1 cleaned up the 'magic find' mess, but it is what it is, for now.

I've clocked in just shy of 450 hours.

I've found some insane weapons and armour so far. Today I sold a 560pDPS bow for 120D.

Two days ago I sold a quarterstaff with T9 flat lighting and Elemental Damage for 35D

Since the game released I've made close to 1 mirror by selling gear I've found and slammed randomly.. (that's all my exalted orbs are for, slamming)

I've found lots and lots of good items and you know why that is? the mistake y'all are probably making.. is you're only picking up rare or blues that have (tier X)
Me on the other hand.. I'm picking up everything that's certain base tiers and ilvls.

When Johnathan did an interview and said "biggest inspiration was Diablo 2 loot system" this is what he meant..

SSF players love the game in its current state so drops can't be bad.. you're just not looting properly.

If you wanna talk about drops being bad let's talk about Perfect Jewelers Orb.. I still haven't found one.

The drops are good in this game. I’ve had no trouble outfitting my characters SSF. Raise the drops and you’ll make the game easy. I like that this game doesn’t insult my intelligence by thinking I constantly need to see minor upgrades where I get the same item with slightly higher numbers so I feel “rewarded” like a dog.

In poe2 I’m constantly checking blue items to see if they’re worth crafting on and thinking about the rares I’m finding. I’m happy to wait to see an amazing item so long as the gameplay experience is balanced with the drops, as I feel it is.

Where did you got that information? My friends and I play SSF and utterly hate the drops rates, the lack of crafting and the obligation to use MF+Rarity

At this stage I just want my maps to drop at least same-tier waystones.

I'm not talking about people with full endgame gear speed farming T15s. I'm talking about early endgame just starting out, getting to Tier 3 and finding only Tier 1 or Tier 4 waystones, but I don't have the gear to do Tier 4...

The endgame is really horrible

Yes! Why are waystones rarer than Exalt Orbs?

I also played 200 hours and all my god Tier Equipment is from selling 1 king invite Item that i sold lol. Thats the whole Game for me, sold that 1 shitty Item for 8 devines then buy 8 good items. Now i can 1 shot everything but i dont need anything and also nothing good Drops so im Just bored as hell!!!

So, you and OP are saying that there are zero good drops - 190 hours for OP and 200 for you. Crafting is ass, everything's bad.

So where did those 8 good items you bought come from? Did they not drop? Or were crafted? Or made by some other means you also have access to?

Hmmm.
