I think that anyone who trolls the forum on this topic by calling other paying customers bad players who are "entitled" or "whiny" and who need to "learn to play" should have all their characters permanently transferred to hardcore servers and lock any of their future characters to hardcore servers. These forum trolls insinuate or outright claim that they never die, so forcing them to play on a HC server should be no detriment to them.


I think anyone who whines on the forum on this topic by calling other paying customers who are "elitist" or "condescending" and who need to let them reach level 100 while "zoned out" should have all their characters permanently transferred to standard league and lock any of their future characters to standard league. These forum whiners insinuate or outright claim that they deserve free levels, so forcing them to play in a meaningless league should be no detriment to them.

This guy needs to be forcibly moved to a HC server.
Exp loss is great, just means a quick season from my end and decisions to not buy stash tabs is justified.
No one is asking for free levels. Just to not to have their time wasted. Especially when they've already put in the time to get to a high level.
I'll be the first one back when this is fixed.

Don't know about that other guy, but my thought process was POE 2 was supposed to be a different game with all around improvements and wider audience appeal.

I hung on for a while, but the XP loss is why I initially stopped buying additional support packs - and ultimately stopped playing the game altogether. If change in design philosophy ends up being never - well, OK. They've already lost hundreds of thousands of players from launch who never came back, what's one more? I wish them well.

The real problem is the not existent xp gain after 94 level. It's even way to hard after 96 level. If can't reach 100 level so why bother starting new character? I'm quitting the game until rules will change.

So xp loss is way to punishing in higher levels and if there's no xp gain it is no meaning go further and for what reason?? Just to open and close maps in a boring endgame?

Seen a lot of people say this and not sure where it comes from. Poe2 was originally a poe1 expansion that was going to upgrade character rigs/add an alternate campaign. Then feature creep kept going until it was too complex to merge with poe1 without destroying it. So it became a direct sequel in the franchise instead. It shouldn't be surprising that its similar to what it spawned from.

Then XP lost for ARPG in 2025? Definying credo of the base core game mechanics? Seriously ?

Definitely a lack of imagination in conception, for concepting the design of a such restrictive feature for players in 2025.

This game is vast, this game is deep and tends to redefine the genre at its own. Your work around the art design, is just breath taking. Please bring up the gameplay and the game design mechanics at the same level of excellence.

Eject this XP lost from the main core design, design it as its own pathing as an alternate piece of the gameplay for hard core pathing.

GGG, if you know how to truly answer the following question of what is really engaging for players ?

Then you should reconsider it.

Because if you truly thinking of implementing an easy XP starting up level 96 as a remediation of XP lost in the 0.3.0, then it will be indicative of that you are building and proposing a Tower of Pisa by undermining the foundations first.

In definitive, wrong features and their wrong design do not need attenuation, it is just need ejection.
